These quests suck.

I actually don't mind most of the side quests. As they are designed right now, they are mainly a vessel to help new players started with extra experience points, gil, and items. The stories attached to higher lv side quests are actually pretty good and do not always involve going somewhere and killing x number of mobs. I'm thinking of the love letter delivery quest like someone else mentioned previously.

Anyways, I'm just waiting for level 36+ class quests since they are the most entertaining, lore wise. Yes, you do need to read through the dialogue, but I thought it was worth it. The culinarian plot was by far my favorite. Twists! Turns! Intrigue! Drag! Amirite??

very big and a good story and you see many places in the world
Not something you can finish in 30 minutes or less

Ehehe, I loved RO. That said, the Sign Quest took FOREVER to complete x_x

But I know what you're saying, and yes, if they managed to make a quest that long and involved and unique in FFXIV with polish, in FFXIV's engine that could be pretty fun and cool.

But I believe Yoshida Announced the Bulk of the Quests are coming in 1.22. Don't hold me to that though.

They are what they are, bad. Everybody wanted quests, but when these come out I was disappointed. I was expecting for XI like quests, instead we got WoW like ones.

Still, this isn't what this thread is all about. Its about how even with no cutscenes, they could make us do things other than kill X amount of A without having to break the piggy.
