Well, its a good reference either way. I reckon it will prove quite useful over the next few years to see if they follow through with things like the Golden Saucer, DX11 and a Card Game for example.that comment is from Mid August last year....Just cause they didn't plan for fall damage back then, doesn't mean it's never gonna happen; they can ofc plan things in the future, that they initially hadn't planned. Now they HAVE stated that fall damage will happen, so they corrected that old statement; So i dunno why you're using that old statement as holding them accountable for anything?

I think it's more likely they will add stuff they hadn't previously planned for; less so to not implement stuff that they had planned. But it might turn out to be more difficult than they had anticipated to add something. But i don't think they would announce something, unless they have some roadmap for it already.
Gold Saucer wouldn't be hard to add, not a card game either
DX11...well time consuming at least. But if they make a good job of it, the game could look godly with tessellation displacement.

I remember reading this in one of the recent interviews. They also said it will be possible to change this later on.

Can you add the 2013 Media Tour Nova Crystallis interview to the original post?

I thought I remember wrong during my read... but...
it's mis-leading and wrong info... beta phase 3 can bring back lv50 char, but cap is lv35. Alpha I thought cap is lv 20. so it's up to lv20.Yoshida: Rest assured, come Phase 3 [of the beta] you will be able to bring in your level 50 characters into the game. I know there’s some people who’ve seen the alpha version are saying “Well where’s the regular combos, and I want to see more challenging techniques to be present in the system.” But it’s alpha and only up to level 15, so I deliberately didn’t bring in the complicated systems at this stage because otherwise it would scare off all the new players
However, thx. I don't think I read this one. it's a good interview too.
especially about the combat style and casual vs hardcore part...

So the cap will be 35 for anything that was under 35 previously (or for newly created characters), but if you were 50 before it will stay 50. If you were 43 instead, you'll stay 43 and won't be able to level past that. Basically any experience earned at Lv35+ will be zero.Version 1.0 characters can be used.
* In this case, the level cap will be that of the Version 1.0 character’s.
In regards to Lv15 vs Lv20 for the alpha, I believe it may be referring to a case where level cap was 20, but skills were only introduced up to 15? Since it's talking about combos specifically.
