I've stated many times that death shouldn't be fun.
I've also loved demon souls for that punishment as well. It always kept me on my toes, I hated dieing, and losing souls, ya, it pissed me off. Though, it made me a better player.

uhhhh, but you could easily get them back by returning to the place you died -.-
