Confirmed - Just did this with a group, attack the boss till she spawns her adds (you may need to deal with these to slow damage) wait till the Eye casts lvl 5 Petrify, kill and see if you learn it, if not Final Sting/Self-Destruct rinse and repeat - You actually have to see him cast "Lvl 5 Petrify" though I believe he has 2 frontal cones, doesn't use that one as often
