    The best way to take a stand is to stop your sub. If you still want to play despite disagreeing with the monetization methods, don't use the collector's edition items and don't spend more than you have to.

    I hate the nickel and diming and $20 for one outfit on one char nonsense too so I only pay the entry sub, nothing more. And I stop it between patches now because SE doesn't deserve my money if there is nothing I want to log in to do. That's how I made my peace with the situation at least.
