    BLU NEEDS more than 24 skills!

    Are you having a laugh? SE, how are you going to sit up here with 100+ blu skills in development and only allowing us to equip 24.

    If a player is able to accommodate extra skills on their hotbar, they ought to be able to! The whole point of BLU is to be versatile and have the capacity to fit various roles and enjoy a more engaging ability system.

    24 max skills just makes no sense, and leaves players having to constantly change their loadout, or stick to the same old skills for the sake of convenience.

    Limited job in every sense of the word.

    There's an element of strategy involved. The Masked Carnivale is the best example of that. You're not meant to go into a fight with every single skill unlocked - you're meant to go into a fight after picking out which skills will be most useful for the situation.

    To be honest though you don't even need 10 skills to competently play blue mage, even most of the Carnival fits under that too lol.

    Oh, there is a way to save load outs by the way - if you wanted to~

    I just can't help but see that as a needlessly limiting factor. The focus on strategy should lie in mp management, understanding ability attributes and creating combos. Not playing around a 24 skill cap that makes it so some abilities you've gone out to learn never see the light of day. It doesn't help that some abilities are near mandatory to always have equipped, such as off-guard and white wind that eat into the 24 cap.

    Maybe that's engaging strategy for some, but to me it's just insipid and uninspired.

    Ah I see you just want to play with more stuff at once, sorry I was thinking you were trying to make an optimal build and just not being able to. I was thinking.. "we don't need 24 for that". XD

    If they keep making the skills mostly unrelated then I'm not sure we need the 24 limit either, but I do think it could be fun to have the limit if the skills were also tough choices.. I'd like to really suffer over what 24 skills to put in (if I was using all 24). If I'm not going to use all 24 except to goof around then.. well.. yeah okay not sure what the cap does except just mess with my goofing lol.

    Sorry for the confusion, and I absolutely see where you're coming from! I think a really good half and half would be if, for example they implement the cap as a condition for certain higher carnival challenges, where you'd really have to think about what setup you're going in with. But, in the overworld or instanced content reduce the severity of how many abilities you can play around.

    Other jobs at level 50 have less than 24 skills. Maybe when blu's level cap goes up they can have more.

    So what you want is to have EVERY spell you've learned to be available at any moment? BAHAHAHAHA that is the worst idea i have ever heard.
    1 - does any other class have 100 spells/actions ready at any one time? NO
    2 - As Theodric says, that would remove all strategy from the job. As blu you're meant to think ahead, and plan for the fight or for whatever role you might be playing - that's where the versatile aspect comes from, being able to plan ahead and fit a role...not being able to fit any role, during a run, at the click of your finger.
    3 - IF blu had access to all it's spells at once...it would remain a limited job forever, which would be the worst thing ever for the job and those who want to see it become un-limited.

    Just because you don't like how the job is setup, doesn't mean SE will change it just for you.

    The main point of the Blue Mage is the Masked Carnivale.

    There's somewhat of a puzzle element to it, specifically due to the limited selection of spells...


    What the Blue Mage does need though is more learnable spells, as the selection is retardedly limited on certain elements... Like currently only Wind spells are Feather Rain from Garuda, and Snort from Typhon. And Snort doesn't even do damage.

    i like having a limit provides some element of strategy for the Masked Carnivale fight design i also like how i can come across multiple blus who have different skills to me makes mine feel more unique i do not want that taken away i would like an increase to number of skills once we get to lv60 but just to 32 max 2 hotbars is enough (on ps4) it still allows customization while not overwhelming too much
