Or you could just throw those items away and not buy them back from the Calamity Salvager.

Problem is, if you check his lodestone he has multiple cash shop mounts. He can't take a stance on this particular issue if he is part of the problem, without being called a hypocrite. He cannot just throw those mounts away.
Unfortunately, account wide so not even deleting character would work. I guess he could delete character and all alts, and never use the mounts!

SE isn't going to remove items purchased and used on an account. You could later claim you changed your mind and you wanted the items back again, or that you never wanted the items removed and someone was impersonating you.
Delete the items that can be deleted and stop using the ones you can't if it bugs you that much.
Or when asked, he simply states that after buying all those mounts he had a change of heart and doesn't support the cash shop anymore. As long as he does not purchase any additional items in the future, there shouldn't be a problem.Problem is, if you check his lodestone he has multiple cash shop mounts. People change their personal values and beliefs over time. There's no point in taking someone to task for something trivial they did when they were younger if their values have since changed and they are no longer doing that thing.

Did you actually read OP's post?Problem is, if you check his lodestone he has multiple cash shop mounts. He can't take a stance on this particular issue if he is part of the problem, without being called a hypocrite. He cannot just throw those mounts away.

Once upon a time I believed in Santa. Now I don't. People change over time. I have spent money on games I no longer player because how that game changed. It didn't interest me anymore. There's a mobile game I still play that I've spent probably about $600 on that I don't spend on anymore but still play because it got more and more cash grabby, but for now I still enjoy it. Probably eventually I'll stop playing it too.
Why aren't people allowed to change anymore? I think OP's post is a little silly - there's nothing inherently wrong with purchasing an item off the Mog Station, and they're never going to do this. But he's not some giant hypocrite because his beliefs changed. A hypocrite would be if he said this and then continued to buy things off the Mog Station.

If they wanted to "stick it to the Man" they would be better off simply not purchasing anything from the Mogstation from here on out. Asking to have all past purchases removed from one's account (which real money was used for) is both silly and a waste of time and money. I don't know about anyone else, but I wouldn't go throwing something in the trash because "muh principles!" if it does 0 good doing so anyway. Even if I did in a fit of rage I would likely regret it later because, again, it would accomplish absolutely nothing. SE already told the OP no, so...why are they here making a thread that also accomplishes nothing?Did you actually read OP's post?

That I'm not sure. Plus I don't think you have to throw away things that once made you happy because of how things are now. It's like smashing your Keurig because you don't agree with their politics. You paid for it already, you're not changing anything by trying to destroy it.If they wanted to "stick it to the Man" they would be better off simply not purchasing anything from the Mogstation from here on out. I personally don’t buy items from mogstation that I think are overstepping boundaries that I set for myself unless they are altered - or the price is reduced - to something I can accept. If not then they just don’t get bought. But @OP; I don’t see why you should give up all the things you purchased in the past and that you’ve likely enjoyed for years just because you don’t agree with the current state of the cash shop. Just stop buying from this point onward. No single person can be responsible for changing things either way anyways, so don’t blame yourself.

Personally I think it'll be healthy to leave the things you bought on your account.
You'll have a reminder to reflect on how you used to be, and how you are now.
For example, I have done many cringy stuff when I was a socially awkward teen (haven't we all?), but I wouldn't want it to be blotted from my memory. It just shows how much I have grown since then, and I can relate to others when they act in the same cringy ways.
You bought those items, you remember how you felt when you bought them, so you have an understanding as to why others buy them. You can use that experience to perhaps convince others not to buy mogstation items. You can show people all the stuff you bought, and why you regret it, and suggest to people why they might regret it later if they were to buy something.
People grow and change over time, it's only natural. If people can't realise this and try to shame you for your past mogstation purchases, despite you clearly stating why you have changed your mind, then maybe they are not worth your time.
(I have plenty of mogstation items myself, and enjoy them, but I can understand why someone might not anymore, and why they don't support cash shops anymore in subsciption-based games).
