BLU Spell Targeting

For some of BLU's spells that target in a cone or a line would it be passible to make the character "face" the mob when you use the spell like other caster jobs? Can't tell how many times I've missed a Bad Breath cause I dodged and forgot it didn't auto target.

That would be a lovely QoL for sure. It's pointless without a target, and if you need a target, please have it so it makes us face it.

As a bandaid fix, you can macro each of those spells to face target to cast. Not the best solution, but works.

Forcing you to center on your target sucks. It limits your ability to maximize coverage over multiple enemies, especially so when you don't have a tank balling all the targets up for you.

Just pay attention to what you're doing imo.

Personally I'd like an aoe cone marker so I can use it with higher accuracy/when I want. Also to add smart cast hotkeys, if they already are there I never heard of them but I could have been under a rock when they were added XD.

Smart cast hotkey could be an additional key held that will automatically place an aoe at location of mouse (or direction of mouse) rather than having to click the placement down. They're also ways to automatically place an aoe at your own feet without having to find them lol. (Usually you find these in MOBAs). I know there are ways to use macros for this but macros have their own issues in the combat system :3.

I was trying to macro bomb toss cause I don't like ground target AoEs and couldn't get it to work. What is the syntax for Blu spells?

I think this might be a bug to report, actually. There is an option currently in the game settings to have your character face your target when using an action. It just doesn't work with some BLU abilities. I personally have noticed it the most with Bad Breath.

It's not a bug and it's not the first ability that works without a target, see also MCH's flamethrower. They gave people options, some spells like glower will aim at the target, some others are PBAoE, some have a target ring.
