I have been farming primal spells all weekend, and I am missing 2,Titan and Ramuh. I have run Ramuh about 70 times and Titan over 200 times, and no luck. I did Ifrit about 60, Leviathan about 45 or so, and got lucky with Garuda at 20ish and Shiva only 16 times.
Needless to say the drop rates are beyond ridiculous, especially considering this job can only be used in the Masked Carnivale and 2.X content that isn’t in the Duty Finder.
I am finding myself quite upset and highly disappointed, as I was looking forward to this job. Even the content made specifically for it is more frustrating than fun, and only gives allied seals, poetics and a small amount of Gil. Once players have achieved their titles they won’t any real purpose to do Masked Carnivale again.
TL;DR: BLU is a lot of work for little reward, and may be the biggest disappointment since 1.0, imo.
If you keep on doing them, nothing will change. Basically you are saying you are prepared to continue playing the class with these drop rates.I have been farming primal spells all weekend, and I am missing 2,Titan and Ramuh. I got my Mountain Buster from Titan HM in two tries, but my unfortunate partner-in-crime has done it 20 times with my dhurrgoon and has yet to get it. Safe to say we were rather sour after two hours of nothing.
You are right on this, and I decided after I made my post last night that I’m done with this job. If we continue to play it nothing will change. I want to love this job, but I’m just angry now, which is not the feeling you want when playing a game.
Having gotten all primal spells finally I can say the drop rates are absolutely absurd. 100+ kills on Levi 50+ on ifrit while getting titan on 2nd try. It's too random for content that isnt even remotely challenging as HM can easily be destroyed by 8 blues and ex is nothing to a single 70. There is zero incentive to clear content as a blue since only the number of clears matter.
An easy solution is to boost the drop rate significantly only if cleared synced and with a full blue team. This is more engaging content then and rewards players for playing the class. I know I would rather spend 3 hours wiping as a full blue team in Shiva ex than that same time afk waiting for rng to say I can leave.
So my only gripe right now is that a majority of these PF parties wanting a blu/lv 70 split unsynched generally end up with the first group getting their spell then bailing on the rest. Unlike many I'm not blaming SE for this. The fault is with players and to me just shows the low quality of people in game. I appreciate the ones that do stick around to still help and the people that choose to help BLU's when they either already have the spell or don't need it because they have no plans to play BLU. I just wish you people were the actual majority here.
