BLU Can't learn spell

Final Sting!

Watched time and again as the Killer Wespe kills itself with Final Sting, but never learn it. I've even been solo on the target. Yes it hits me with Final Sting, yes I live through it.

What else do I need? I learned all the other ones fine for my level.

It's a 2 Star rarity, so, just keep trying, you'll get it eventually. I lucked out and got at my first try.
That one, and the frog lick (or wtv it's called) to pull in the target, it's a 4 rare skill, and also got at 1st try.

Tam Tara Deepcroft, however, made 3 runs, and no Mind Blast =x

Yes you were particularly lucky with the others.
And "speaking with your fellow players" is the general idea if not looking up datamined information.

Yeah doesn't sound like it is for me.

Given I learned the 3 star and 4 star on the first try, how many tries are we talking about it should take? 20? 50? 100? 1000?

Don't even know what rarity it is, cause ofc it doesn't say.

Biggest problem having trying to learn skills. Is others pull your mobs away and killing them before mob gets chance to use skill your trying to learn. Its huge mess how it is now. Wish luck with learning the skills.

Is it true (i heard in shout) that for some spells you just have to witness it and not get hit to learn?
People were saying that about self-destruct for example. I have like only 5 spells atm at Level 17 and did that Cactus A Rank (i forget it's name) and did not require 1000 needles

You don't have to get hit by any of the spells to be able to learn them. You just need to let them use it at least once before killing them.

My main approach is to give the mob a whack with the pimp cane or a spell, and just sit back and watch for the spell. Once it casts the spell it can be killed. Unfortunately, not everyone seems to get that so I have seen a lot of people just slaughtering the mobs as quick as possible...but yes there is an rng element to spell learning which can be frustrating.

I have a funny story about how I learned it.

So I was in La Noscea looking for skills, and I saw someone attacking a hornet. I helped them kill it only to realize they were a BLU. Then it dawned on me they were after a skill and then I noticed a bunch of people killing the hornets. So I figured I'd go after the skill as well. So I attack a hornet. At that exact moment I get a party request, and I'm like "sure why not". So I join with 4 other people, and "we" kill the hornet, and learn the skill. Suddenly all of them are like yes finally, sweet, finally got it. Apparently, they were trying for some time and then I come along and get it no problem. If only the rest were that easy, lol.
