I don't think you got my meaning, sorry for being unclear. In the EU, native English speakers are a minority, obviously.

The only reason the english language is so big otherwise is the Americans. Without the Americans and on an EU server, non-native speakers (Germans, French, etc.) generally aren't going to communicate in English because they don't have to. there's no way they're going to form Linkshells and speak English within them when they can speak their own language. (Which, rightly so.)

If, hypothetically, I went -- A few might choose to speak English to explain things to me but the majority of Linkshells and parties and shouts will be non-english speaking. I don't want to sign up for that. I'd be about as isolated as if I applied to go onto a JP server if one of those ever sees the light of day.

Again, doubt this will happen. There won't be enough FR or DE players in order to shout only in French and German. Won't even mention Spanish and Italian players or players coming from the rest of Europe.

English will remain the language used everywhere (shouts, trade/seek repairs, etc.). Then within linkshell, nothing will change. French Linkshell off course will use French, German Linkshells will use German etc. But that's already the case on Worlds we have now.

Unless the Linkshell is "international" or "EU", English won't be used. But how is that an issue? Just get on any EU/International LS you can find and you're done.

Still, I applaud your efforts prem but not a single person of our 80 person (and active) LS is on pads. Its a good indicator of whos going but doesn't even come close to reflecting who is and isn't going with the real numbers. About half that 80 is EU and 2 of that half are thinking about going (they're French) with the rest not wanting to touch Ragnarock with a barge pole.

Also I did say double the figure, it is infact a very good indicator, plus if you click "Show All" you can see how well the other servers is doing with nearly 30'000 characters automatically merged.

Your 80 members means 10% to what is not there, 5% if you doubled for roundabout predictions, it is also a very good indicator considering the amount of people playing. Not to mention, if more people joined up, like yourself and moved your LS over, its so easy to do and will help everyone, if everyone did this, we'd have more solid figures.

I can only build the tools and do so much, I rely on you, the community to use and fill it up, there is not much more than that I can do.

Also would you rather have a poll with 15-30 votes or a site which lists them and already nearing 1k selections. I think my page is the best source of information around, well the Japanese think so XD (2k JP/day is hurting my server!)

I think the fact 700 (numbers gone down :O) people are willing to sign up to a new server is a pretty good indicator, granted it doesn't take everyone into account so you just have to extrapolate the rest.

I just hope come merge week lodestone will have just as detailed information regarding server population as pads does. (its unlikely though)

We might find out, they did say they was going to release server caps, so through this we might have a nice idea.

Don't take this the wrong way if you're French/German/Spanish, but I found French players on Ragnarok arrogant, Germans unable or incapable of taking directions due to language barriers (which is stupid. I've lived in Germany before and the German people are generally very good at english and auto-translate existed on the game) and a constant stream of "jajajajajajajajaja" from Spanish players just pissed me off.

No sense, Arrogant are everywhere, for example u are beeing arrogant saying that.
German cant take direction due language barrier? never happens to me, german are good in english, probably is how u ask them to take directions.
i am spanish, and i feel so sorry for u reading so stupid reason.. like others countries dont spam "lols" "LMFAO" etc, what happens? we dont laugh pro-style? seems irrelevant complaint for me.

I thought about it until I noticed Selbina isn't merging. It's a good server, I'm doing pretty well there so I'm just going to stay where I am.
