Did this bother anyone else? They ripped her directly from FF12 remaster. Which would be fine if it was the actual Fran. But having our version of Fran use the real Fran's model is odd, to say the least.

The Viera models probably aren't ready yet. I wouldn't worry about it.
Fran probably does give people a bit of a look as to what we should expect though. The model's there and all. As to the OP, no, it didn't bother me. It also wasn't copy > pasted from one game to another. They had to give Fran a new model to be put into the game.
They had to make the models for this game. The models weren't "ripped" from one game and put into another. They did their best to make them look the way they should though and imo succeeded.
The lack of Balthier was pretty jarring.
Is it really "blatantly ripping" when said assets are owned by the same company? Also, there are tons of things in this game pulled from others. the coil enemies are found in ffxiii, a lot of the overworld mobs are found in XI.
Far more detailed ass texture on xiv, which i gladly welcomed
BUT CMIIW ffxii Fran have long nail, which i reallllllyyyy adore and in ffxiv she have normal lenght which make me feel meh
i believe its just a great recreation... do correct me if im wrong
and i wont forgive the lack of long nails...
As I recall, our introduction to the Au Ra was with Yugiri, whom was using a Miqo'te character model at the time. The final model just probably isn't ready yet.
Probably due to clipping with certain items.
