Adding older feast rewards
Adding older feast rewards
Adding older feast rewards for wolf marks but not in a way that makes it too easy so the people who did work for them still feel like they worked for it
Maybe similar way to the hunt mounts, emote
Buy books for centurio seals 6= Wyvern mount
But lets say 20,000 wolf marks equals one book and you need 10 for hell hound mount and vice versa for older rewards
This would give people more of a reason to pvp too
Not the worst idea, especially if they are added some time (maybe 6 months-1 year) after they were issued. If each book cost the 20k it would still take over 2 weeks per book, so a degree of commitment would need to be there to get these.
There are a few glamour items from past Feast seasons a lot of people would love to have, not just mounts.
I would imagine the top prize (the trophy housing item) to very much not be included, and the rewards that are available to be items from a few seasons ago.
Season 7 is ending soon, maybe with it's end, or Season 8's start bring in the first armor and/or mount rewards it had...
Maybe even a version that notes it was not obtained through the Feast ranking, similar to the MGP versions of the Garo stuff, without the different coloring.

I wouldn't be against that. Just as long as the people who actually worked towards earning them before this would happen are given more than enough time to enjoy their spoils.
If I die, forgive me. I used to be a Dragoon.
I wouldn't be against this either, and I think the 10 books, 1 book = 20,000 marks is a reasonable grind considering the alternative way to get the rewards.
I also think PvP could use some kind of long term grind rewards to promote more interest in the mode. I think an unintended consequence of SB that they didn't necessarily think through was from making all the new PvP gear ilvl1 glamour. There were a substantial amount of players that did use PvP for leveling desynthesis, farming materials through desynthesis, and using desynthesis for profit from PvP gear in HW. That entire subset of players have no reason to grind PvP long term after getting the initial achievement rewards, further limiting the pool of active players in PvP.
I don't expect the ilvl1 pattern to shift, though these items still could be changed to be "desynthable" at a later date, but I think having some other long-term grind associated with PvP apart from Achievement Titles could help to bolster the amount of active players engaging in PvP modes.
I wouldnt be against this. However 6 months to 1 year would need to pass and IMO it should cost more than the average mount price on the mogstation.
Please not another "Let's turn Feast (4vs4 Ranked) into a brainless grind" thread. The only difference this time is that OP wants wolfs marks instead of wolf collars (those make more sense).

I'd like to have them obtainable with Wolf Collars, so that way you have to actually participate in Feast. I'd even be okay with a different skinned mount too that isn't exactly like the top rewards ones (but truly I'd love to be able to have a choice between them so that it doesn't feel like you're stuck with "leftovers")
No matter how much you want to say "don't make it something everyone can grind for" - the truth is that damn near EVERYTHING in this game - ESPECIALLY MOUNTS -- is gotten by grinding OR the blessings of RNG.
- Want a bird or a wolf but have pitifully low rolls? Grind to 99 totems.
- Want Fenrir? Grind to 1 mil MGP
- Want your lion/bear/panther tank mount? Grind through hundreds of dungeons and trials.
- Want a beast tribe mount? Grind through their quests and level up in time with them.
It's only a grind if you perceive it to be. If it's something you really want, you'll slog through it even if it means hating the whole process (see also: Eureka Anemos).
A really good point that was brought up on Reddit was how someone who has a history of nothing but Bronze in Feast shouldn't be able to obtain the same reward that people who got to the top 100 achieved. And I can see where they're coming from...
BUT
Everything else in this game so far is more easily obtainable over time. Remember when people had the Domitor/Domitrix title from doing Coil and you thought that was awesome? Today, anyone can get it in a few minutes. Raiders have long since replaced that title with The Legend and such. That doesn't belittle the fact that YOU did it when it was hard -- when it meant something to you and your teammates. And you've moved onto other challenges and got those titles/mounts before anyone else. Such is the treadmill of MMOs. Why PVP is held to be this sacrosanct echelon that we don't talk about?
Participating in PVP has been dwindling to the point where queues are 30+ minutes any time after the first 2 week initial rush. Making rewards more attainable over time (but still requiring effort) would let people work on it at their own pace and skill level while still breathing life into stale queues.
Even if someone who got nothing but bronzes was able to get the, say 20 wolf collars needed to get the mount or armor, it would take them SEVEN SEASONS to reach that point. What is that... 3 years or so?
