I will be very disappointed if the next is expansion is just a very awkward cameo if another Final FantasyMaybe a third of Othard's map is Ivalice, Gabranth was introduced, and Fran was involved as a general under Ashe. There are a ton of dangling plot threads after the raids(especially one likely to tie into the flood of Light through Ultima and her seraphs), and considering the zones we know of for 5.0, the revolution in Dalmasca could easily be part of the main plot.

Don't worry, because raids are optional they never are directly intergrated into the main storyline (with the possible exception of Coil, which was meant to tie up the 1.0/ARR storyline and explain what happened immediately after the Calamity and add an extra line of dialogue to Alisaie during one of the HW patch storylines).
But everything else are side stories with little to no direct connection into the main storyline, and the Ivalice raids especially are indeed little more than fanservice dressed up as 'connected' to the story. Shadowbringers will stand on it's own merits and won't be a rehash of FFXII, that's just being realistic.

I'm not saying that Shadowbringers will be a rehash of XII, but considering they're adding even more Ivalice stuff with the Nu Mou as an announced beast tribe, and have had the Dalmascan situation discussed for multiple patches even in the MSQ, I'm saying that it's all but guaranteed to at least be a subplot.Don't worry, because raids are optional they never are directly intergrated into the main storyline (with the possible exception of Coil, which was meant to tie up the 1.0/ARR storyline and explain what happened immediately after the Calamity and add an extra line of dialogue to Alisaie during one of the HW patch storylines).

Considering she's an Australian actress and her only notable video game work was FFXII, over 10 years ago, I doubt she'd fly all the way to the UK for a handful of lines.

She lives in London now.

Also, plenty of actors do voice over work from the nearest suitable studio, with directors working with them over Skype, etc.

Also, in the MSQ, Hien has his Othard Alliance and there is a Dalmascan there (in the Ridorana ARC/BRD outfit). They've already been included in the story now, so I doubt they'll be relegated to just another raid cycle. Besides, with much of XIV's central plot revolving around freeing countries under the yolk of the Empire, it would feel awkward to find another group but yet tell them "mmm, sorry, Doma and Ala Mhigo were our last stops, good luck on your own."
Whether or not Fran will make more of an appearance, I don't know. But it seems as if Dalmasca is here to stay.
Edit: I disagree that much of our 5.0 plot will resolve around them, however. We've already been told by Fran that Hancock's group (name escapes me) will be receiving refugee Dalmascans. That might open us up to freeing them later, as we did with Doma a whole expansion later (we met Yugiri pre HW and Doma waited for SB), but I think we'll be sticking with a closer focus on Garlemald and this forestalling Calamity business.
I was excited to see a Nagxian there, too. I'm interested in seeing more of their culture, as well.
