Bump for same English voice actor for Fran as in FFXII !

Now that Fran has turned up in FFXIV, and is likely going to be an LTC (long term Character) with voice cutscenes, how about letting the Devs know we'd like to hear her with the same voice. So far she's only been in text cutscenes but I can really only imagine her with that special accent she had. Australian Nicole Fantl did the XII V.O. using an Icelandic accent, so how about we all pitch in to let the devs know we want the same voice!

I queried Nicole and her response was to let the creators know, as they have more say than she does (in deciding to use her for Fran's voice).

I would love to have the same VA from XII for sure. Something tells me she's going to have a british accent though because a lot of the characters in the game do. Not that I mind, I'm just saying really.

The thing is most voicework for 5.0 is probably already done, so unless she doesn't turn up again until later we'll be pretty lucky to see anything come from this.

I would bet 5.0 is already complete right now and they're now just busy with QA and balance testing for the various systems.

It would be nice, but unless Fran was promoted to being one of the central characters of the main story then I couldn't imagine the devs putting that much focus on her voice. Possibly it would cost more to have the original VO to do the lines as well, so Fran would need a lot of scenes to make it worth it else the resources are better spent on other things.

I seriously doubt that any voicework for 5.0 has even begun. Some games I have helped kickstart (and thus got production details early) did their voicework pretty late in the process, well after the scripts for that voice work has been set.

As for her role, she seems to have a position similar to Yugiri so far, just a bit different bringing out to the public. Zenos appears to kill a Bangaa in the 5.0 trailer, which hints at her group being involved in the MSQ by that stage.

In an interview one of the lead devs of the lore team said that voicework was done "fairly early in the development process". Since the expansion is out in just a couple of months, I think it's safe to assume that it's far too late to make any changes to 5.0. You'd probably get lucky to have them change something as far off as the first major patch.

She may very well have already been contacted though (or even finished all her voice lines for 5.0). Her answer, if you brought the essence of it properly, is what one would consider a "non-answer". Basically it doesn't say anything at all other than her not being personally opposed to it (or at least, not wanting to be open about it).

She would surely be under non-disclosure agreement in that case though. If for no other reason than because Fran getting voiced lines guarantees her coming back after the raid is over which was not officially released yet.

Before anything else, I imagine it'd depend on whether she works for whatever VA studio/company that SE contracts or whatever for XIV's voices. If not, then you're out of luck, probably.

I doubt she will have any voice acting since she is part of the raids. They aren't going to take someone from a raid and make them part of the main story
