Balmung will be the lowest populated server post merge, and that fear is probably valid. Nothing else makes sense to me why they would be so opposed to the OP.

Everything I've read from people who actually play on Besaid makes me think that this post is completely ridiculous. It really makes you come off like the type of person that I would have no problem seeing leave.

I don't rp, but I love that people can get so much enjoyment out of games like this. I respect their community and don't really understand how being on the 'rp server' could impact my gameplay in a negative way.

I'm sorry you feel like being around someone who isn't 'normal' is such a bad thing.

I liked this post. I feel like being on a rp server would be more likely to end up a happier experience, then with a bunch of elitist players, or something. I hope the rpers find happiness~

Im on Besaid and I'm not an RPer. I have never come across an RPer that would shun me from a party. I have been playing from CE release. I haven't seen much /say RPing going around these days. I think they do it all through ls chat now. I haven't come across the RP extremist but the RPers I have partied with have been really awesome. Sounds like the OP is a little hurt from a previous incident.

I don't get the hate people have. Or all the speculation going around that Besaid is some horrible place to be. I just want to point out that the 80 or so of us that do RP do it in party or say and generally in low traffic places. You've got to know where we generally hang out or bump into us on accident to ever really see anything. Maybe I'm just naïve as to how things work in other games since I've only been RPing for a year and only on XIV but the hate and anti-RP/Besaid/Balmung threads are really getting old. One other thing...what is all this ye olde english kind of talk? Most everyone speaks normally, maybe a bit of alteration for an accent. No one spouts hither and dithers, thous and thees.

Yes i think in my entire time in besaid ive only seen one RP group that was well a little crazy, but they were just horrible people in life in general which you can get from anyone, rp or not. I had Joined Besaid not knowing it was the unofficial rp server, and i am glad most of the rper i have met have been good comrades and keep the game going in times between patches. Also ever use most of the fan based sites? Bet you didnt know those are almost all programed and managed by rpers.
