Are they ever releasing an option for chat bubbles?

I think it's baffling that FFXIV has been out this long and they haven't released the option for chat bubbles appearing over the character. Nearly every MMORPG has this, and it helps RPers tremendously.

I don't understand the arguments against this. Not only is it completely optional (you can turn it off or on), but the argument of "it would clutter the screen" doesn't happen in games like WoW. Maybe in games like Runescape where long-distance chat is a thing, but in FFXIV we have methods of advertising that are 10x more efficient than /say

I am new to FFXIV, for clarity. As stated, I am an RPer. This is the main thing right now that turns me off about the interface of the game because of how much my hobby relies on receiving information via text.

Players have asked for that very thing in the past (repeatedly) since before launch, and the development team have consistantly said "no". So I don't see SE changing their minds I'm sorry.

I personally miss like 80% of what character say becuase I can't see it and forget to look at the chat box
