Hmm the futon doesn't seem to be on the spreadsheet, but that could be it; didn't realize there were height requirements

oooh, how strange lol I thought it would've been in the bed category XD
I'm thinking it must just be something about the hallway in the small house, I was trying to float it way higher than the required minimum shown x_X Tried three times but it ended up showing on the floor every time.

You have to rotate it once it's been placed, otherwise it drops to the floor. Once you've rotated it and locked it in place, you can rotate it back to how you want it. I've got a futon floated onto my lofts in order to make my bed fluffier.oooh, how strange lol I thought it would've been in the bed category XD

I mean, it's great we have the glitch now to do this. Figuring out how to freely float floor items was probably housing's holy grail. But it's still a pain, and still rather limited. It took me hours of work to get this area done. I love it, but I shouldn't have to rely on glitches to do it! Lofts are not "unrealistic," they're a common part of architecture throughout history.
Also, they really fooled us with those preview images lol. Making the furnishings they showed on there big shelves that would have normally been a floor item.

With the new items all designated as tabletop, I feel like they're definitely aware of the situation - the test will be the next time we get any large items (chairs, beds, etc) and whether or not they'll be tabletop or regular floor. If it's floor, then I think they have no interest fixing the issue.
Also, I hate how things are divided now. I don't think to look for large shelving items under tabletop when I'm sorting through my storage.
My reaction was the same as the OP...
And I've watched a lot of videos and I can't make the stuff I want to float. I float simple table and such, but I can't float that damm "Far Eastern doll Display" for eg. And I can't rotate them once I floated, so they come back to floor when I leave the house.
So yes, just make ours lives easier by making all the stuff like table top so we can put the itens one above of each other ;_;

This top post PLEASE. I spent a couple days rearranging, setting everything up, went to place my bed on my loft and can't. I'm glad to see there's a way to glitch, but glitching is really just frustrating.
I hope they expand upon this later. Though I'm also still waiting for all races to be added to the mannequins too. Was weird having my highlander's armory be a bunch of miqo'te mannequins but at least now I can change it up with some roes in there.
I know there are glitches but I tried doing the levitation glitch and it's such a tedious chore to do and I messed up a couple times and had to start over and it's just more of a pain to use the glitch that it's worth IMO. I also wish the stairs didn't have to be wall mounted, that's another thing that's been a pain, and it seems they always go one way so if I want the loft on the other side of the wall I have to work around that, or again use convoluted glitches.

I used the glitch that makes wall mounted items float to make the stairs face the direction I want. By using the glitch you don't even need to have the stairs attached to a wall.

I'm not sure the code allows them to make tables like floor surfaces, considering floors are part of the remodel system instead of the item placement system. I hope they can, but haven't seen it yet with any of the other items (stages and the like are still tables).

not beds. Maybe that's it?
