Regarding lofts

This glitch was patched out long ago as it was literally a problem with the game not placing what was selected in the UI.

I am unfamiliar with this method. I try placing beds straight from storage onto a loft, but they are unable to place. Would anyone be able to provide some light onto how this is done?

The entire reason I was ecstatic for lofts is that I could never get the floating glitch to work for me. Which why I was super disappointed. I followed every guide I could find but couldn't get it to work.

Try the one recommended to Sin_Faye. That should help you get floor items floating.

Start with a Riviera open book shelf. Also some items are harder than others. I also find wooden lofts are great to push up several items at once like bamboo planters and doman dogwood.

I was thinking it'd be great to set up a little bathroom with a bed loft on top, using that platform. It'd especially be nice for saving space in an apartment.

Not just lofts. Stages as well. It's really weird that you can't put things like instruments on a stage.

I have a suspicion it's due to organization more than anything. Like if they unilaterally made everything tabletop, how would you break down your searches? Perhaps it would be better to give things two tags like tabletop bed or tabletop rug.

However, I absolutely would love for either the lofts to be floor items or everything marked tabletop. Because while the floating DOES work, it's a real pain to get everything lined up and then floated up incrementally only to have to rotate it once you get it there, and then go back and do it for every other thing you want floated. I badly want to build a loft bedroom in my apartment, but it's driving me nuts because I have to try and figure out what to glitch up there first and how to line everything back up once I do, etc.

It is possible to float multiple items at once using the loft piece though I'm not sure how consistently it works. I did it with a desk and chair in my apartment.

You do have fiddle around a bit to find what increments can be used to raise them together since some items will only work in smaller increments compared to others. There's also the 10 item limit for moving things as a group, though that shouldn't be a problem in most cases since anything tabletop could be added afterwards.

I will have to try that then! I've been going insane trying to get multiple things floated.

I have a small house and wanted to make two attic rooms in the landing/hallway where the stairs are to the basement, where I can manage to wiggle two of the new lofts, but the glitch won't work for me; every time I exit the house and re-enter the bed I glitched up there appears on the floor once again :/ I agree that they should just simply change items around to be tabletop

Every item has to be on a certain height. It's all described in the spreadsheet, that I found here in the forum, when someone posted it. I think your bed was just not high enough?
