Hidden instances and aetheryte

I don't think this is posted elsewhere on this forum....so apparently there are hidden instances and aetheryte crystals in game. The ones i am referring to are the aetheryte crystals that pop in each city...now these hidden aetheryte crystals apparently take you into an instance where you fight "lunatic" mobs....as far as i know (because i have a handful of people that i know that have actually had the opportunity to do one of these) the aetheryte takes you into a part of copperbell mines, that has been blocked off since beta....

When i first heard of these instances and someone had mentioned a crystal popped in town....needless to say, i thought i was being trolled, but apparently they really do exist. However it is extremely hard to find any information about these instances online, and i would imagine since they dont occur often, most players are probably unaware that they even exist. I tried looking through all the prior patch notes, letter from the producer etc...but was only able to find one bit of info on them....and that was around the time of the darkhold patch, that se would be having random instanced raids and details of them wouldnt be made public to reduce overcrowding.

Have you participated in one of these before? Is it kinda like a behest? What are rewards, if any. New music?

Also too is there a certain day or time that these pop?

It spawns twice in a row, an hour after the first spawn. Same city. Can either take you to copperbell mine zone or mistbeard zone. One lodestone acheivment for each zone. Don't need to talk to Alfgar or the npc in front of aether. Just enter aether and sign up via the little girl there. Like behest. If you don't sign up, it won't count.

Aether usually spawn (from my experience) on the hour or up to 15 min after the hour mark. Also, you know the aether is spawned if you see Alfgar shouting.

Thank you guys very much for the help!! I knew someone knew something about these raids but i wasnt expecting a step by step guide =)
