If we now have "Limited Job" why we cant have "Limited race"?

Just my thoughts about garlean race, which cant use magic and all standart classes, but get 3 new jobs - magitek tank(like Nero), magitek knight(Gaius) and some king of magitek medic. Maybe this happen in 6.0

Because then you'd have to make an alt character to play said 'limited races'. Which would go against how they have everything so far class/job wise. You can do EVERYTHING on one character. Doing this would just piss players off that don't want to have to change to another race just for another job/class.

Funny, I brought this up in the NN of my server, though I was thinking they might do that for a popular race that I know of... especially if gender locked or cannot use the current style of gears... I’m not saying that’s what I hope they’d do, I feel like I fear that’s what they do....

If they ever added garleans I think they would just say 'the echo lets them use magic.' I mean wasn't that the point of the experiments in SB, giving garleans artificial echoes to let them use aether like the other races?

Visually though I'd be disapointed. Garleans are just tall hyur with a silver dot on their forehead, they would be a really bland new race.

Absolutely not. This isn't WoW where classes are race locked. FFXIV is all about being able to be whatever race and being able to access every class.

Creating alts is a part of the game. We actually pay extra to be able to do so. Could care less if you can do it all on one chacter, I do that on my main, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying alt races and alt characters. If, and only if, Ronso was added to the game, I'd switch over in a heartbeat. But if I HAVE to change my race just to play another class, then that's a huge backhand to players who want to buy a fantasia JUST to play another job. The biggest point on character creation is you can do everything on one character. And creating alts isn't part of everyone's' part of the game. I only made a couple alts to goof with my friends with, hell I can only make alts because after MANY years of playing this game, I could actually afford to pay for more than just one month at a time, in which I could ONLY have ONE character per world.

But if I HAVE to make an alt just to play classes I'm otherwise locked out of, I'd have some pretty aggressive words for whoever decided to implement them.

You can change jobs on the fly. Race changes require Fantasia, which you have to pay for. Imagine spending money to Fantasia to a race purely because you like the way it looks, only to find out that you can't use 95% of the jobs in the game.
