Questions on gathering people for Raid clears

So, I'm still kinda new to the scene. Only been apart of FF14 for about a year. I really do enjoy it though! Except for the fact that finding people for certain raids or trials is almost impossible. :/

Currently, I'm stuck in Deltascape trying to get myself the snake mount. NO ONE wants to do it on savage with me. I've been through the duty finder and the party finder. Nothing. I can't even find people who do clears for gill x-x;

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get through the raid or try and find groups to help me out?

My advice would be to not focus on this one duty, but instead trying to build a network - it takes longer, but it ensures that you always have people to do such content with!

After investing about 3 years into creating a LS for highend-duties and about the same time into an FC, my friends and I are in the fortunate position to have enough people to blackmail into doing this content!
It wont help you straight away to get your snake right now, but it will eventually lead there and will make getting new snakes in the future!

Steps to take:

1) Join an active FC that focusses on your intrests and be active within it yourself! For example by inviting people to join for roulettes, trials, dungeons, raids... by offering a helping hand and by taking other people up on their invites to duties.
2) Create a LS for the purpose of staying in contact with people who are intrested in EX-primals and Savage-raids. You might want to make this a cross-world one.
3) After creating this LS, look for people who might be intrested to join! My advice on how to do this would be to join PFs for Savage and EX-primals, even if they're not O4S and just offer the people who you deem skilled (and friendly) an invite into the LS!
(If they dont wanna join the LS or if you dont want to create one: Still add them to your friendslist!)

You can always look and join a static aswell - even though statics mostly focus on the most current raids, I could imagine people being willing to go back and clear old fights once you're done with the current stuff. Either because theres nothing else to do or because you might be missing a member on a certain day and decided not to proceed without them and instead jump into some old content.

Come 5.0 we can expect all the current difficult content to be made a lot easier by unsynching it, aka going in at level 80 (or whatever the next max-level is gonna be) - while O4S most likely wont be soloable or a total pushover, even at level 80, it might be easier to find people at that point to run it with you: you wont need a full party anymore (at least thats my guess) and you can probably ignore/cheese some mechanics instead of having to learn a complexe, yet outdated fight (something thats probably holding a lot of people back to try it right now - those who are willing to learn such fights already did and those who dont wanna do the fights... just dont do them, simply).
