90002 Error No Idea Why ??

"Connection to the sever has been lost" Error 90002 - This is all I get when trying to play the game. I am on the Odin server is this information helps at all.

I made a new character.. as soon as I try and attune myself to the main city crystal instead of getting the cut-scene I get the red circle of death next to my name then disconnected.
I have done this with 6 different new characters and it happens 100% of the time when I try and attune myself to the crystal.

Now I know someone will say it is my connection well I have already investigated my side and guess what its not me, how do i know this ?

I got my laptop next to my PC and loaded up FFXIV using another account. When my main account gets the 90002 error my laptop client had no issues. I tried both my laptop and PC on Wifi and wired connections and it doesn't make a difference, one will get the 90002 while the other is fine.

I also did a packet loss check along the connection and nothing is wrong there, finally I tried port forwarding that always get suggested...does nothing at all because the issue is not on my end.

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forum,

    Please try the following:

-Other programs being used when running FFXIV
    -When disconnect occurs/How often
-Everything you have tried to resolve the issue

    Hope to see you online!

    - All programs are closed before opening the launcher and playing the game
    - Disconnections occur when a new character tried to attune to the main crystal in a starting city. Instead of the cut-scene I get the connection symbol next to my name then error message connection lost.
    - I have tried the following

1- fort forwarding using the following
    54992 through 54994
    55006 through 55007
    55021 through 55040
    ( Didn't help )
2- Tried playing the game via Wifi and Ethernet (Still happens)
    3- Clean boot
    4- Flushing my DNS
5- playing the game on a different system (No difference)

Thank you for the information Auron359.

Are you connected directly to the router or are you using WIFI? Also please try the following:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Go to the "Compatibility" tab, and change the compatibility mode to "Windows 7"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    Please keep us update!
