Installing DirectX 11 and 9 separately did not work either. I'm sort of at my wits end with this.

Okay, I'll keep that in mind. That said... it doesn't make sense that it's my OS if it works when my graphics card is uninstalled. If I disable my graphics card, the game launches. I have it launched right now. It's just that it's virtually unplayable in this state, running at 1 frame. But it technically works, its just that my CPU doesn't have the processing power to run it like my GPU.

I'm not going to act like I know 100% how DirectX is run with regards to a graphics card, but I'll just say that it's working with other games. I can launch Yakuza 0 and run it perfectly fine. I can also run Sims 4 perfectly fine. These games use DirectX 11 and DirectX 9, respectively, as far as I understand.

Reinstalling once again via Square Enix, rather than Steam.

No change, still can't launch unless gpu disabled. I'm going to contact support for my computer about this, but do let me know if anyone has any other ideas.

It seems windows recognize 2 display adapter, if you do have the intel deactivated and it doesnt helf, could you try enable it, install the driver and then force ffxiv to use the nvidia?

    Sorry, I don't think I understand.

Enable intel and install what driver? The game only runs when I disable my Nvidia card, I can get it to run just fine (sans performance) on my Intel graphics when I disable the Nvidia card.

It's trying to use my Nvidia card as is, but it's not detecting DirectX while trying to use it. It only detects DirectX on my intel card.

Edit: Let me specify that it doesn't run when I disable my intel graphics, only when I disable my Nvidia graphics.

Hi. Checking back in to say that yes, re-installing my OS did fix the problem, but with a caveat.

Upon getting all of my drivers back in order after the fresh install and attempting boot, the game did request that I install Dx11 specifically. This can be fixed by installing the end user runtime, you can find that on Microsoft's website.

Hopefully this helps anyone else facing this problem in the future.
