Hey SE, Can we get hairstyles tied to glamour plates as well? Running to the esthetician every time I want to change job, and gear, sucks.

I know it'll probably never happen but it would be amazing if it did.

I'd rather not tbh, I'm already "min/maxing" my plates so that I can unequip gear so that glamour won't be applied to it, thus allowing me to mix and match within my plates... There's no way to "unequip" a hairstyle slot. So it'd either have to have a toggle, or if one desired only to change their hairstyle they'd have to manually unequip all their gear (or set up a gear set for it...)
Plus it's like... 2k gil to change hairstyles... it's a small gil sink, but a gil sink nonetheless and I don't really think it needs to be circumvented since there really aren't enough gil sinks in the game as it is.

Why would you think that (in the extremely unlikely event) we get it, that you can't just leave the hair slot on the plate empty like any other glam slot it has? I would also be fine with them charging me 2k every time I swap a plate that changes my hairstyle. Heck, for the convenience of not having to go to the aesthetician, I'd gladly pay much more than that per swap.I'd rather not tbh, I'm already "min/maxing" my plates so that I can unequip gear so that glamour won't be applied to it, thus allowing me to mix and match within my plates... I'm pretty sure I remember this coming up in a LL Q&A or fanfest, with Yoshi saying that they'd look into it. So sounds like it might be a possibility, or at least it wasn't a definitive no.

If a hairstyle is equipped to Plate 1, then any time Plate 1 is applied so would that hairstyle. So if I wanted to use glamour from Plate 1, but not necessarily the hairstyle I'd have to apply Plate 1, then unequip my gear, then apply Plate x (assuming a second Plate with the hairstyle I wanted was already set up).
OR I'd have to first visit a Glamour Dresser to manually change the hairstyle slot before applying the Plate...
OR I'd have to visit an Aesthetician afterward to change my hairstyle back to what I wanted...
Both of those options make the Glamour Plate system less convenient. Unless there was a seperate toggle JUST for the hairstyle...
Come to think of it, maybe toggles for everything would make more sense as it is... since I'm already doing things like... apply Plate 1 to everything, unequip Body and Legs so they don't change, apply Plate 2, unequip rest of left side and apply Plate 3 to only change equipped accessories' appearance... when I'm mixing and matching within my established Plates.
With toggles I would just need to toggle the things I wanted to apply to my current gear from the plate before applying it, and wouldn't have to go back and forth between the character equipment menu and glamour menu several times to achieve the desired customization.

Honestly, if the idea bothers you that much, just leave all of your hair slots in your plates blank. Then visit the aesthetician when you want to change. You'd be no worse of than you are now and the people who do want to see the feature implemented could get their wish.Leaving the plate empty would only work if you never wanted to change your hairstyle.

I'd love this. I keep finding that one hairstyle that goes great with my red mage glamour, but doesn't work as a dark knight, but then the one that does is a bad feel for my ninja......

I doubt they'll ever do this but it sure would be great. Certain long hairstyles have horrendous clipping with outfits, and it would be nice to choose them to go along with it. Same with ones that have unchangeable colored accessories that go better with some outfits than others.
