Carbuncle Mount Music Change Feedback

First, thanks to the dev team for providing us with a lot of excellent content in the 4.5 patch. I do, however, seriously regret the changes to the Carbuncle Mount's Music. I just bought this when it recently went on sale, and really enjoyed the music that came with it, and now it has been replaced with something that's very, very different. I won't claim that nobody enjoys it, but I certainly don't.

After doing a little research, I've found out that not only can I no longer listen to that music while mounted, I actually can't even buy an Orchestrion Roll for it, as they were only distributed in a limited-edition run of a $40.00 audio Blu-Ray. Even if I were to track such a product down and purchase it, the digital content codes that came with it have expired.

I feel like this is a situation where the rug has been pulled out from under me a little, and I would like to find out if the Borderless track will be added back into the game in another form. If not, is there any way to seek a refund for the purchase of my Carbuncle mount?

Wasn't borderless also the mount music to many of the other non-mog mounts, like the beast tribe mounts, twintania, and middy? Or did they change that, too?

I hate it, it does not feel right while riding my carbuncle anymore. Was really excited to hear what it changed to but now I am just flat out disappointed. Stashing him for the time being

I don't play mount music most of the time anyway but I'm not sure how I feel about this, either. It's magick-y, I get that, but it's not unique or cute enough, imo. I don't hate it, just... eh.

Can be done in your Sound System Setting. There is a option to specifically turn the music for mounts off.

Thank you I found it and turned it off. Not quite sure why they'd change music and not give users the option to use the older one. A number of my friends weren't happy with this change either.

Because the system isn't built for it. It's sadly that simple. And if they could already have given you a pick for BGM selection, I should hope they'd double down and just let you pick a mount theme, whichever you wanted. Could even be things saved locally so as to not burden the servers with saving that info.

I have to agree. I don’t like Borderless (the flying mount theme for non-primal/non-special mounts), but I really don’t like the theme they chose for the Carbuncles, the Panda, the Whale, and even Red Hare (which is the theme from Hullbreaker NM). I don’t know anyone that have the Fire Wheels mount, so I’m not sure what theme it uses, but probably the same as the others.

I guess they were going for a cutesy sound for the cutesy mounts? I’m not sure. But I will be keeping mount music off when I use the Carbuncles.
