Maybe you should lay off telling people what they can and cant do with the money they worked for. If people have to means to afford something nice, let them buy it. Caring what other people do with their money should be non of your businessJust because you can the money doesn't mean you should. The reason the cash shop is currently rampant with over priced items is people people keep buying them. I have no problem with people spending money on a hobby until it starts to hurt the hobby as a whole. I played Warhammer 40k until a few years ago and had to stop due to prices getting higher and higher because people just kept on paying them and defending Games Workshop for the higher prices. I am seeing the same thing here. The cash shop used to just be old event items at a decent price, but it is now bloated with over priced items while in game events get the leftovers.

I'm not telling anyone what they can or can't do. I am just letting them know that they are the reason the cash shop has gotten so bad and there is a good chance that they are the reason the events have been so lack luster lately (why should SE give us stuff when they can slap a $15 price tag on and and have people praise them?)
I see people say that a subscription game should not have a cash shop, that cash shops are only excusable when the game is free to play (and sometimes not even then). What people seem to have overlooked is that, when SE announces a new expansion and/or a new patch, they tell you the features that they are bringing in that new expansion/patch. Those features (and continued access to them) are the only thing you are paying them for with your subscription, everything else is extra stuff. If they give us extra stuff for free in game, then that's great, but that doesn't mean they're wrong if they want to charge for those extra stuff instead. We, as individual consumers, have to decide for ourselves whether the mog station has anything worthwhile to spend beyond the subscription cost.
And on that note:You're right in how people's willingness to make a purchase allows SE to have a market to sell more items in the mog station. That is the reality that is taking place and it is not the responsibility of those people to keep the market price as low as you want them. If what SE sells is appealing enough for its price, then enough people will buy it. That's just the market at work.Just because you can the money doesn't mean you should. That said, again keep in mind that these are all extra stuff (be they in game for free or in the mog station) that has nothing to do with what SE tells you are in the expansion/patch that you are paying a monthly subscription for. Thus, if you think the mog station prices are too expensive, then just be content with what you have in game because that is what your subscription pays for you, nothing more. And if you think you are not getting enough in the game for your subscription without including all those items in the mog station, then that's a decision you have to make for yourself.
For my part, I think the game gives me plenty for my subscription. That said, I do buy from the mog station, and the only reason why I don't buy more from the mog station is because I only stick mostly to account-wide items as I delete plenty of characters, just about almost as many as I create. I've even deleted a character that I spent getting all combat jobs and gathering classes to 70 and crafting classes to 68-70 and did plenty of mount farms. So I learned my lesson not to spend more real money when I can lose the items literally on a whim if I decide to delete a character.

Literally this. I decide the value of their goods versus my money, and my opinion is that their sub (and all it does/doesn't entail) is worth my $15, and their extras are worth additional money. Someone else who doesn't agree is perfectly in their rights to feel that way. But don't guilt other people for buying what they want - they're not guilting you for not buying it in return. That said, again keep in mind that these are all extra stuff (be they in game for free or in the mog station) that has nothing to do with what SE tells you are in the expansion/patch that you are paying a monthly subscription for. If people stopped buying from the Mog station, those items wouldn't get made. They wouldn't suddenly be given to the players, like an apology for a failed venture. The folks who make them would just be laid off and the store closed. My opinion is that I like these things, I want to see these people keep producing this stuff. So I spend my money accordingly.
If you don't agree that XIV gives you enough value for your subscription, unsubscribe. Feel free to make your opinions known all you want, by all means - but don't insult/guilt/villainize people who don't agree with you. They're free to make their own decisions on the subject.

He's smaller (height wise) than I expected but still very cute, It's a shame he can't fly but is very nimble on the ground for a plus size cat, money well spent.

I find this game gives way more in game stuff on a regular basis than just about any other MMO i played
we just got the seiryu + kyubi mounts, ozma mount, hydatos mount, and rival wings mount and the only one anyone cares about is the cat from the mogstation for some reason ;o

Anyone having trouble getting your fat cat mount after buying it. Paid with crysta and still waiting on it to come it the mail.

This tends to happen with really popular things. It took mine almost an hour, and I had the same problem with the carbuncles. It'll come in eventually, just too many people clogging the "channels."
