It's takes SE a long time and constant patches to nerf, buff or adjust current jobs and even then some still suffer from issues, so don't say it's easy because history has dictated it definitely isn't.

You don't know how BLU will change come 5.0, it could very well be capable of going through the MSQ with NG+. The job has plenty of time to grow and be adjusted from its release until the expac, you need to just calm down and give it time.

You literally have to define solo content here, because honestly we'd have to reconsider. I think they wanted to keep it out of MSQ because the open world isn't looked at well enough. Most of the time the community doesn't pay attention to the overworld and the detail artists have put in to make XIV's world since they want to get from Point A to Point B as fast as possible; and let's not forget most people don't want to deal with overworld trash mobs that should be a considerate threat to them even though you could simply FLY OVER THEM ALL NOW.

Also, the storyline can be traced into raids mind you, where things are being balanced. For instance, Omega was a literal part of the storyline for a while ever since the incident over Baelsar's Wall happened to counteract Shinryu. This allows us to have some type of closure with the Alpha and Omega Arc ever since we trashed Shinryu into primal dust.

Solo content:
Main Quests, which includes cutscenes, overworld quests, story battles. I want to be able to play through them as Blue Mage, and access story dungeons either as blue mage through a preformed party or with whatever other job I have leveled.
Hunts
Most mini games in Gold Saucer
Learning spells in the overworld, which will doubtless take a long time because we won't have the same luck they showed in the trailer where they learned spells on the first hit.

Not solo content:
Dungeons (we can access them preformed or party finder)
Raids (the raid itself, not the story around it)
Trials
Deep Dungeon
Roulettes

Also remember that you couldn't have played any story past level 50 anyway since BLU is locked to 50 for now - which we knew from the start. I don't know why this particular limitation is such an issue...

This limitation concerns me because I wanted to do the New Game + on Blue Mage. I understand that since I've finished the main quest, Blue Mage can't redo a quest that was already completed, but in the future I want to be able to replay the main story using that class.

If blue mage isn't gonna tickle your fancy then simply don't play it. There is multiple things I don't like that other people do and I allow them to have their enjoyment. Blue mage isn't even out quite yet. We have patch notes and a short video. That's it. For all we know it could be fun. Or, se in the future could add things that make it more fun but what I am certain of is that they cannot please everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I wish it was a traditional class. But I'm fine with se experimenting. Like I don't get this community sometimes. One day y'all whine on how se never breaks from its mold then the next day y'all whine bc a new experiment is not to the traditional standards.

Maybe because "break from the mold" usually doesn't correlate to "can't do content we want to".
