I personally think they should be able to do deep dungeon, but only solo. I think it'd be alot of fun. Personally with all these restrictions I don't find myself staying much longer as I only came back because of Blu and it's more or less not what a vast majority of people wanted. I had hopes for it to be amazing. And I'll definitely try it when it comes next week. But all the restrictions on it makes me not want to stay once I have it leveled.

I keep reading this in post after post. Vast majority based on what numbers? Only the majority of people who are vocal about their dissatisfaction with the state of Blu in XIV? No.
I feel you. That would suck for you. Also myopic, considering you haven't actually had hands-on with the job yet. But I feel you.
If the flood of posts about lolblusux hits the boards AFTER people have had time to play it? I get it. But all of this flagrant knee-jerk speculation about how bad the job is because no Lv.60 and Lv.70 content access and x, y and z circumstances is confusing. Or very perceptive on your part for knowing exactly how you'll respond to something that hasn't happened yet.
/shrug
Give me Blu or give me Level 5 Death.
...And Homam and/or the Magus attire set for stats or glam, plsnthx

I actually considered that, but if you think about it, solo PoTD is high end content, based on which jobs were available at that given time, and PoTD was built with these jobs/skills in mind. While doing it with a lvl 60 Blue Mage, a class designed for solo content, it would just make the whole PoTD solo achievement underwhelming and too easy. Compared to people that actually had a hard time clearing it with "fair" rules.
Blues Mage has its own solo instance, that's it. I don't see it getting access to Diadem or Eureka even with higher level cap.

It should be fun to gather the spells, and finish the challenges, but after those 10 hours or so, it's just unfortunate so much time was spent on something with such little life span.

You're not just gonna be playing BLU for 10 hours, trust me. There will be a healthy dose of Magic Ranged DPS gameplay to sort out.
And for people worried about BLU's roadmap lemme speculate a bit.
--BLU is by default a DPS role job, so queuing for DF dungeons, trials and raids is a flick of a switch away.
--Most people have already assumed that this is a live beta test of the whole Limited Job platform as a way to introduce new (old) jobs (beastmaster, puppetmaster, etc.) that have a different set of demands (acquiring the bulk of spells/abilities by means beyond just leveling up) attached to them versus standard rotation jobs. This is a good thing. Why? We get a new job and the dev team gets feedback, both shining and salty, from gameplay and forums.
--And as most everybody has further speculated, at some point Yoshi may pull the trigger on full access for BLU, if and when? Please look forward to it. But in the meantime, if you dust off the salt? Most of what is going to happen with BLU over the next few months is a good thing.
I'm already down the road with where things could go for my most favoritest job ever, so it's not easy for me to see the pessimism in BLU being limited, but in a small corner of my hearts heart? I feel you.
I'll see you Blues in the field tomorrow.
Avalanche.

This statement isn't far off from the truth. If SE wanted to do it, they could grant Blue Mage access to content, such as Duty Finder, with a simple "flip of the switch." Although, more likely, they won't do so without first making some adjustments. Unfortunately, many people, Yoshida included, seem to overthink the amount of work that would actually be necessary.
Unfortunately, this hopefulness is essentially wishful thinking since Yoshida hasn't given any indication that this is merely a test phase or that granting Blue Mage access to more content is something they are even considering. I hope those who are supporting SE's decision to implement limited jobs aren't hinged on the belief that this is all just temporary. Once they see that people are satisfied with limited content, what would stop them from pushing for a job that's even more limited? They never promised that future limited jobs will get their own unique side content, after all. You know how the saying goes. "Give them an inch and they'll take a mile."
I still wish they'd allow Blu to go into deep dungeon solo. I think it'd be fun. But at this point until I get to play it. I'll take what they give for my fav ff job
