


The assize buff almost caught WHM up to the other healers for damage, at least.I mean the azzise buff is really neat and all, but it doesn’t chance the fact that whm has the same mobility as the main dmg spell he casts. I can dps with Astro when I move and draw cards. You really feel the flaw in dmg in high end content like uwu or ucob and I did both only as whm and I felt like a hindrance then a gain for my static.
Definitely less starkly behind compared to 4.4.

For a healer that his only saving grace is his single target dps you could say it whas still not enough. It’s the same problem you have with drk, samu and blm. You either do good or you are more or less not useful. Like I said my static whas fine with whm in the ultimate fights but they always made fun about it and I couldn’t do the dmg tp compensate for the dmg cards that I could have give them.


I can't see any changes of any real magnitude being implemented before Shadowbringers. With a whole expansion on the way, I don't see why they'd opt for anything drastic when a lot of other things are just around the corner. I'd say you'd be right to be concerned if Shadowbringers came out and WHM still remained in a straight-line its on, but not so much from minor pre-expansion patches. As it stands, I just welcome the positives and hope we get more when the big bang happens.

If nothing else, we can be optimistic. Ive played ffxi since 2003, Played FFXIV since Alpha. There have been Massive changes throughout that time.
Potancy Updates, Maybe putting a Damage received Debuff after a holy cast, since you are literally Searing them with holy light, could even be something as weak at 3% like Bards Requiem.
Cureskin, weaker than AST, maybe 25% of healed amount
Reraise for sure, but that's something that all healers should get.
Could do an ability to mimic the "Boost" spells of 11, where it raises the Jobs "main" stat by 5/10% for 15 seconds, Could link it to the use of a Confession consumption, or an ability on its own.
All of these still fit with the Pure healer role. If anyone played 11, whm was "the" healer. And yet also had several other unique options for damage, until Geo was released.
