Well, goodness knows I'd like to be able to play through my Vita - and the touchscreen keyboard on the thing being as good as it is it'd probably be easier to chat through it than with the PS3, even if you do have one of those keypad controller attachments.

Not that I'm worried whether it'll happen, not least because Yoshida already named the Playstation Vita as a platform they're taking into account as a future platform in current plans. By the time S-E are in a position to develop a Vita-based client, I suspect it will have a worthwhile userbase for the endeavour, and it most certainly can run the new client if the PS3 can. Obviously the client would have to be optimised for the task, but those saying it's impossible are I can only assume being a bit blinkered by the way things are now - 1: Our current client is coded in such a way as to be intensely processor dependent, a problem that'll be rectified with the new engine moving over to DX11, and 2: It'll be repurposed to be friendly to lower end systems.

Factor in this is a dedicated gaming platform we're talking about, not a PC with all the inefficiencies that have to be taken into account.. of course it's possible.

That said, what I'm not so sure about and would love, would be if, as others have suggested, the PS Vita could be complimentary to a client on the PS3 (or even PC). Say, running an independent log window or inventory control or something.
