In Praise of the Sound Team

This morning I found myself in the East Shroud at sunrise, on a clear day. As the sunlight filtered through the trees and I heard the wonderful sounds all around me, it occurred to me that we sing the praises of Soken-san and the exquisite music he has brought us, but he is also the SOUND Director. He and his team have done incredible things with environmental sounds, and it makes the experience of just being in Eorzea so immersive and beautiful that I had to stop and make this post.

Thank you Soken-san, and your entire team, for making the world of Eorzea come alive with the beautiful environmental sounds you give to the crushingly beautiful look of the environments the rest of the Development Team give us (especially my favorite, The Shroud, all parts)

As Yoshida-san has often said, it makes Final Fantasy XIV not only a great MMO, but a wonderful and stunning place to LIVE.
