    Tales of Adventure question

I recently started on a new server to help out some friends, not wanting to move my old character I was thinking about buying Tales of Adventure to boost to 60 rather than redoing the MSQ which could take a long time for me to catch up.

The question I have is... does this let me start Stromblood right away or do I have to play through Heavensward content?

You would need to purchase the story completion items as well. There's one for ARR and Heavensward, to get into Storm blood you would need both and a level boost.

So I am just level 60 and not done any MSQ at all? That seems odd. Since all the Heavensward dungeons require you to be at that point in the story... what good would that be?

It lets you plow through the story quests. Overworld mobs die in basically one hit throughout the ARR quests; you can solo story dungeons and trials in about four minutes, with zero minutes of queue time; and you don't have to stop to sidequest because you hit the annoying three level gap in MSQ from 46 to 49. It does slow back down into Heavensward, but the level 50 mobs should still die in no more than 3 hits; and the job boost grants you a full set of Shire gear, which is only one gear set away from max iLv, so even the Lv60 mobs won't be difficult.

Some people want to do the story without having to bother with leveling. Some people buy the level skip to save time leveling a 2nd(3rd, 4th, whatever) class to catch up to their main. I know a few people who bought level skip monk for an alt so they could play the whole storyline as a Samurai(and have a good set of high level gear waiting for when they get there).

I would suggest just getting the story skip. As said above, you would need both, but exp is fairly easily gained especially on preferred servers. I got the story skip on an alt character to play with a friend and dungeons and roulettes with him netted enough exp to not have to bother with a level skip. If you still want to get that level skip though, all the power to you.

Thanks. It seems kind of odd, but good to know in advance. I would not want to be level 60 trying to work my up to being able to do Sastasha for the first time. That's kind of dorky.
