Gardening?

Anyone know if they're doing anything or plan on doing anything with gardening? Is there anything that anyone might be interested in changing with the gardening system? QOL? I'm curious what your thoughts are.

At the FanFest they said there would be player run farms next expansion but offered no additional details. We should be learning more at one of the remaining FanFests. It could be the farms will address some player concerns with the current gardening system.

I don't think gardening itself will be undergoing any changes outside the addition of new seeds. I would like better indicators for which plants were recently fertilized/tended since the gardening UI tends to cover up the current one if you're not at the right angle but not getting them wouldn't bother me. I've learned to be careful in checking what I'm doing.

Mostly I wish that the 2.x seeds from normal nodes worked like the elemental seeds. IE hidden but not rare.

I would also like an alternate deluxe patch that does NOT have the ugly scarecrow.

That ugly scarecrow is the whole reason I settled for a six plot oblong patch rather than an eight plot deluxe patch. I'd have liked the output of the later, but it's so ugly...

You can hide it in a Moogle Topiary if you don't mind losing an extra item slot. I was doing that for a while but need the slot when I redecorated my yard. Now my senses are just dulled to its existence.

Oh! Didn't know about that. Thank you. I'd like timers as well as some sort of indicator about the fertilized/tended too. I have a small house and i'm using the 8 plot garden. Just wish I could plant more, but now that you mention farms, i'm really curious what the entails.

Hopefully livestock. I'd love an alternate way to get dairy and fibers, besides just going out and killing monsters. Another thing I'd like to see is multi-seed flowerpots; if not for myself, for the apartment-dwellers who can't crossbreed seeds.
