Can't wait for the 'Trust' system

Finally I can play this game like a PvE game.

Because despite everything the devs have done to try to make this game a pleasant multiplayer game, I still more or less detest all the irl-elements breaking into my immersion and enjoyment of the game.

The single biggest distraction is the chat (farmers etc.), the next biggest distraction is the limitation of housing and other "software" cracks-in-the-world that remind me this is a business enterprise.

The economy pressure is also always there, basically any time you spend doing anything else such as roleplaying, playing music for ppl, handing out flowers or whatever there will always be the looming pressure for you to be instead grinding, farming, crafting, making business deals, sightseeing, gaining political power within your FC, etc.

This means quests are rushed, dungeons are farmed again and again until you don't even care whatever their backstory is, you spend lots of time grinding and farming and crafting and giving and in the end it's just you giving away free gil, none of it matters. Your reserves of limited and precious furniture dwindle every expansion and everyone everywhere you give it to just server-transfer or disband their FC in the end. So I give up. I've made enough 'friends within this game to last me for the foreseeable future. I'm more or less done with the social sphere of this game. I just want to play it like a proper FF series experience (which is singleplayer), and focus on the characters, setting, story within the game, see if that is worth it.

I mean seriously, sometimes we play odd hours, sometimes we can't fit regular raids into our schedules anymore, sometimes we just need some quiet time after busy days. The people I really want to contact we have emails and discords and everything already.

P.S. Still wishing to buy my own house. And better story.

Gaining political power within your fc? What game are you playing? Game of Final Throne?

They have made quite a few attempts to make sure that we can solo just fine. FATEs, Levesquests, and Squadron Command Missions. I mean this games is a rather solo friendly compared to most MMOs, but since it is an MMORPG it is subject be focused on the multiplayer as that is what most people want to experience. The Trust system is just a concept that is borrowed from Final Fantasy XI since you could setup a party of Trust NPCs instead of a normal party, but this was to deal with the declining player population as the game got older since FFXI was older than WoW. I imagine that they will have some various limitations for the Trust system that will not devalue multiplayer. However, true single player is not something I anticipate actually happening anytime soon since some MSQ and side quests require 8 people, so you would need 7 trusts for that to make any content work. I don't think they are going to have that many for a while, but who knows. I will say that I loved the Trust system in FFXI so I hope it turns out successful, but I hope it doesn't ruin multiplayer experiences such as queue times or social connections.

I think you're playing the wrong game for your interest mate, this is an MMO which means there will always be people and a social aspect in some way, sure you can play solo, you can do everything by yourself but that kind of goes against ff14, you can rp or whatever else but since there are a million other players doing their thing you shouldnt get mad at them for technically playing the game the "right" way.

it may be a final fantasy but really its only in name only, i see your issues and wish someone would make a game for players like you but ff14 isnt it.
