If you're trying right now I think at least for NA servers the whole system is frozen at the moment as I haven't heard or seen anything about the timers being reinstated. I'm not sure if the suspension of the Auto Demo also effects the timers for when plots become available or not.

Don't see any full wards on my server. Last time I checked the goblet there was over 70 open plots. Don't see no shortage on plots.

That is because there is plenty of plots, but the OP is on an overpopulated world and would rather moan about it than move.

No, just no and no again. That would be zero fair. Whats to keep people from "hiring" a group to kill everybody in sight. Also would make houseflipping viable again. Only this time with groups (raid?). Can you imagine two 24 or more groups clashing over a small house?
And trying to relax at your house next door to that stuff?

I mean I guess that depends on how you define fair :P All the negatives you describe sound like positives with the right mindset. (Yes, I know most people wouldn't want this and the days of UO are long behind us. I was kind-of-mostly-but-secretly-not-really kidding. They would never do this here.).

And uh . . . Relaxation is hardly a desired outcome of that system, lol.

Or better yet. Add larger apartments and let said apartments be used by free companies.

I heard/read somewhere that YoshiP said they either *would* look into larger apartments or *were* looking into it. I'm not sure which it was. I'm hoping to hear some more info at Paris or JP fanfest.

Unless they allow apts to have all the features of a standard house in the ward its not a good solution.

Instanced housing is something they should have looked into by now really..
The person that mentioned larger apartments that could also be of help. Like a penthouse suite and such or larger

As someone on a small-ish server, while its not a fight for the first open space of land, you're not going to get anything you "want". Unless you like the smalls furthest away from market boards and notable features in their respective district. We've got ~25 or 30 of those now that people started transferring away from crystal-bound servers.

I can imagine its getting worse on Aehter servers who arent moving. The shrinking populations of every Crystal sever are going somewhere!

You wont get a plot you want, but you can get a plot of some kind at least, and with a plot you have a chance at relocating to a better one on a lower population world than none on a higher population world.
