    Houses and relocating

Relocating houses system is a huge time waster. I don't think that relocating feature should be bypassed by the rng timer. How fair it is for people standing there for hours, trying to purchase a house when at any time someone may just come in and snoop away the plot just because "relocation".
I suggest less time wasting resources to be put in use. People have work and lives to live. The restriction is too harsh. Either put in the ROLL at set time and whoever rolls the highest wins or come up with better solution. For the love of rng don't make people take shifts clicking buy button for hours. It's just unhealthy practise.
What are your thoughts on this guys?

I'd rather struggle to get that first house and be fine with it being ANY HOUSE and then know that I can save up and easily relocate to a plot I like much better when/if it becomes available without having to worry as much about rng.

That said, I DO wish there was a little bit more clarity on how the system works so that people trying for their first home don't have to sit there spam checking it. Honestly, even just saying "this house will be available for purchase 24 hours after being put up for sale: 24 hours left." If someone else sees the house within 24 hours, they have a chance to get it and know exactly when it will be up. Pretty simple imo. At least you can't instantly buy it, which stops scalpers as much as the current system does imo. Gives others a chance to see it.

Maybe giving an indication like, "Available for purchase in 1 - 3 hours" or something..

The system is made that way in order to avoid house reselling and it works as intended. Still there is the FC housing resell going on, dunno how it can be fixed, tho'.

Or better yet. Add larger apartments and let said apartments be used by free companies.

It would still avoid house reselling as you can't be guaranteed the plot. You would have to wait 24 hours, giving other people a chance to notice the house. You'll know the approximate time it will come up but so will everyone else who is interested in it. Would you want to buy a house from a reseller knowing that you have just as much of a chance to buy that house as the other 5 people who notice the house available and show up when it says it's going to be released? I wouldn't.

The problem is when the house can be purchased IMMEDIATELY, because you can release it and buy it up before a single person gets a chance to even notice it's up for sale. In my suggestion, at least other people have a fighting chance to get a house that's released without having to sit there, wasting their entire day spam checking the board.

This is also a good solution. Bigger apartments would make a lot of people happy. Still no clue why SE won't do this - the ONLY reason most people don't like apartments is because it's so pathetically small in comparison to what you can get from a house. Even just a small is twice the size. Pretty ridiculous.

That works only in theory. But it seems there is people that did found methods for bypass the fair chance and get what they want. New wards opening is a good example, even you are the first to login and run to the house, you find that already bought. Don't ask me how they are able do that, I don't know. But a fixed timer helps just those people and I prefer a random hidden timer.

Random hidden timer ok but don't make it to riddiculus amounts like up to 24 hours. Don't encourage people to sit in front of the game that long just to get a house.
Also as I mentioned. I can sit there for many hours just to see someone relocating. It's a very bad system.
With previous system, when people where flipping houses at least I was able to get one without spending hours, days and months trying to get a house. Now it's super hard and creates unhealthy competition between players.

They should just go whole hog with the UO/ArcheAge approach since they use those games’ demolition concept too.

You can see a rough timer of when a house is in danger of collapsing from being abandoned, and form up with your friends to kill any player who tries to get in range of the plot before it actually becomes available. If your team is the only group alive in purchase range, you’re guaranteed to win the land.

    It’s a delicious bloodbath.

No, just no and no again. That would be zero fair. Whats to keep people from "hiring" a group to kill everybody in sight. Also would make houseflipping viable again. Only this time with groups (raid?). Can you imagine two 24 or more groups clashing over a small house?
And trying to relax at your house next door to that stuff?
