If they did make it possible to make your alts into trusts, it'd better not be the ONLY way. A lot of players don't have alts because, frankly, there's no need for them. The primary point of the trust system is to have NPCs as your party members - so I greatly doubt they'd make alts the only option, if they do it at all.
