Feast Rank (Ranked Match) Solo Queue Reoccurring Griefing Problem

This is a first for me but I don’t normally come to the official forums to make a post. In fact this is the first time I've a been here since 1.0 official forums. I apologize in advance that my English is not exactly good.

There has been an issue that is steadily growing each season. At this point where the game mode is no longer enjoyable. I just want someone from Square Enix to see what is going on because it feels like people who do the report on this don’t really see an impact despite it going on for several seasons. The people who grief in feast only seem to get more bold with their actions. There are some cases where people sit and do nothing. Other times the pretend like their playing but don’t commit to anything.

It isn’t just people throwing matches. People are participating in the act of boosting as well. It has picked up rapidly up this season. From what it looks like any future seasons in feast is doom to griefing and people exploiting the system. I always try to report anything that is going on. I also encourage any players in the community to report if they witness anything. It is just really tough for me or anyone else to feel like it will do anything when we see the same person doing the same thing to grief.

As far as my feedback on what to do to combat issue is maybe remove the rank carry over system. (i.e. if you get diamond you start as gold next season) It will make it harder for people to boost and at the same time making the queues more active at unranked-silver at the start of a season. The people who obtained the rank of diamond don’t really need this system in place. Some others always suggest maybe rank decay or remove the highest rating. If a person already achieves the highest rating on the board they are almost free to grief as much as they want while still being on the leaderboard. It almost doesn’t seem fair to anyone else. By removing this it might help improve the quality of life of the game mode At this point, I will most likely not be playing in the future, but I want to at least do my part and post this here.

Thank you. Thank you for also trying to bring it to their attention. See my post in here too. “Griefers in (particularly Ranked) Feast.” Because this issue...It’s gotten SO bad. Shame on SE for not taking action with all the reports. Queues are DEAD because nobody wants to deal with it. On MANY Datacenters apparently.

I agree with alot of that but I’m not sure changing the system is the best way to combat it. I think the people involved need to receive due punishment and be removed from their rankings. They should not be awarded for being toxic.

Adding an ability for GM's to ghost Feast matches whenever reports go out would be great!

It's not even that hard. Just, end of season look at the pvp reports, see that a player who is currently top 10 on chaos, look at his match history - oh, he has been boosted by the same 7 players in all of his matches at a certain time of day.

I am certain they have access to look at 'account pilotting' evidence to, they just don't do it.

    Reports matter just saying btw

I completely have great empathy for this post Izumi... and thank you for posting this.

+1 to you as well... plus I thought your English was absolutely superb.

This issue right here is the core reason I have blatantly refused to invest my time into PvP anymore. Several times in the past, I have discussed with GMs at length about this extremely toxic issue, the boosting and how it is directly affecting PvP from burgeoning into Yoshi's vision for PvP content. I even suggested that the Dev team initiate a small task force to just observe the madness from the sidelines and see for themselves how this issue is ridiculously out of hand. And still, it would seem they are not taking it seriously.

Not too long ago right here on the forums (HERE), I was even trying to explain the issue to another poster who was a highly ranked PvP player but decided to just ignore when I swiftly realized he couldn't understand my side of the argument.

I'm the type that very swiftly grows miffed and impatient with daft behaviour, so in order to maintain peace and civility I sometimes just ignore and carry on.

The current PvP system has gone belly up and the ranking system is a knackered attempt at attracting new players into its fold... it needs to be fixed ASAP. Period.

This right here. The same guy on Primal has been doing it for the last 5-6 seasons and has been reported over and over still nothing but reports do matter, I just don't get why it's taking SE to sit down and actually monitor their PvP activity. It irks me though that the same people who have been boosting for so long in an already small PvP community to me is just baffling, and they wonder why it shrinks despite them shoveling more large scale PvP modes, it's because the Feast is like WoW's PvP it matters for the rewards that are exclusive by season.

I really want to love PvP but I mainly just do my daily PvP roulette now and stopped trying to go for top anything because of these people who ruin it for everyone.

He qualified for FRC then subsequently got permed for trying to sell his accounts, a fairly ironic end to your tale.

Anyway anyone wanna play Siege? x

The PVP gameplay is a lot of fun but it is often times not enjoyable because of the issues mentioned in this thread. PVP needs some TLC.
