1. Improved search functions and access for Inventory, Armory Chest, Key Items, and Currency.2. Less leveling gear required due to the return of the Optimal/Recommended Level system on gear.
- You can now subdivide and conditionally and automatically reorganize your inventory for quicker access to, say, Recent items, Gear, Materials, etc, each therein sorted by Relevance.
- Automatic "Sort Orders" now available. By default, the server need only remember what you have, not what inventory slot position it was in, while the client can generate the inventory positions from memory. The server can, however, still be told to remember inventory positions if the player desires.
- This allows for quickened, convenienced access not only to one's true Inventory, but also to Key Items and Currency.
- New minimalist fly-out panel, available in Text Only, Icon Only, or Text and Icon form of items listed. This can be attached to other panels, any given edge of the screen, from a particular hotkey (i.e. Change Lure), or caused to fade in and out as a panel of its own rather than working as a fly-out.
- Holding Alt while mousing over a given slot will show other options available to your current job, in order of Relevance.
3. More inventory space (siphoned from the Armory Chest).Gear can again, as in 1.x, be used at beneath its Level, albeit at reduced stat value, if within 15% the item's Level, to a maximum of 9 levels. Based on distance from actual level, they will be reduced to the stats of that of an item 1-3 Levels (e.g. 5-15 item levels) lower. This means that a single piece of the last expansion's gear is sufficient for all leveling purposes leading up to its (former) level cap. One no longer needs to hold to the previous five dungeons' worth of gear per expansion to level near-optimally.4. Get an item -- unlock its appearance in your Wardrobe automatically. Now that we need far, far less leveling gear, we lose 4 Armory Slots from each section, regaining these as Inventory slots instead, where they can be of benefit to the still-burdened crafters and gatherers. This will appear as a full row lost, but technically a hidden reserve slot remains in each, allowing you to unequip everything even when your Armory Chest appears full. If possible, no more space wasted on Job Crystals. Now that we have zero use for classes, if you equip a Arcanist book, you go straight to Summoner, or a Gladiator weapon -> straight to Paladin, etc. If it thus allows it, that server space is returned to further inventory space.5. Repair and Materia Vendors remember your last category selection (e.g. "Equipped"), there's a new "All" category, and Repair All will repair all items in your current category.Works more alike an Achievement than anything that requires a separate process.6. When browsing (i.e. mousing or tabbing) over a new piece of item, you will now immediately be able to check on (atop the item information mini-pane) your highest item level piece of equipment for the same slot and job, how many of said item you already have, or whether you already have (or have consumed) the unique/learnable/once-consumable-per-character item. Thus, your "true" Repair All function (via the "All" category) without requiring a second "Repair All" button.
