Question About Sharing a Character

If SE isn't going to ban someone for buying gil, doing speed exploits in pvp, or multiboxing multiple characters in a dungeon and setting one or more of them on follow(yes I've come across this) then they ain't going to do nothing about someone letting their GF play their character while they go to the bathroom, ect. The only thing I know that will get you banned is for using third party programs like a parser.

Lawl. In the 3.X 24 man stuff I've reported a few people who were controlling more than one character and admitted it (Admitting to logging onto friend's account/ect). Reported them mid instance, since they were causing issues in the raid rather than helping prevent them, and oh hey, they suddenly vanished.

You can only report it if they state it in chat in any shape or form, and only in the XIV game chat. Otherwise just kick said player and move on.

While I can understand wiping can be a stressful thing, for something like this, it’s hardly worth reporting the guy over. Being annoyed by it? Sure. I can sympathize with that. But reporting him for having his girlfriend take over for a few moments while he dealt with something IRL? Sure, he could have said something, but still. Hardly something that warranted a report to a GM.

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.
