Exactly, it gave less EXP than Leveling roulette, and poetics, a defunct currency.
Unskippable cutscenes is the most garbage change ever made ... i was shocked when i came back after 2 years break.
You can watch cutscene in your Room, i always skip cutscene even when it's the first time i do the thing. I watch it later in my room to not disturb other people.
You do know that there are cutscenes that's can't be rewatched? Until a few patches ago you couldn't even chose other options from viewable scenes.Unskippable cutscenes is the most garbage change ever made ... i was shocked when i came back after 2 years break.

They should add a unmovable circle around all players like the ones you get during start of a mission every time a Cut scene starts up and it isn't removed till last person finishes.. So those that wanna skip can.. They just can't Zerg the mission an ruin it for new people
Defunct may not be the correct term to use. Poetics are still useful for many players for a variety of reasons, just usually less so for those doing end game content where newer tomestones (Mendacity or Genesis) are more popular. Something defunct would be Scripture or Creation which cannot be obtained or used any more.

Usefulness of currencies is all relative to where you are in the game and what you're trying to do. People running MSQ roulette to level their character will want poetics for purchasing Ironworks or Shire gear, or the older Lv60 primal gearsets for glamour, and I understand they're used for relic weapon items as well. They're also very valuable at certain stages of leveling item desynthesis, covering the gaps between expansion-ilevels.
Right now even the Creation tomes would be useful for me - the Lost Allagan gear is exactly what I want to be desynthesising, and if I could get those tomes as easily as I can get Mendacity right at the moment, it would be fantastic.

I think how it should be is under the settings section (where you can choose min il, Frontline freelancer etc) you should have the option to choose if you want to want to turn off the cutscenes for the Main Scen rou.
If you turn them off, the rewards are reduced and you'll be paired with people who choose the same option to better make your runs quicker. I'd expect it to be bigger then Normal Raid rewards and maybe on the same lvl as 50/60.
However if you turn them on you'll be matched with people who choose the same option and gain the current rewards given for Main Scen rou. You'll be matched more likely with sprouts to help them progress through their story and still get what you expect for your time and dedication.
Having this cutscene only mentality lets sprouts get into content faster for sure, but at the same time it causes a horrible mentality for players to cheese their way as much as possible not giving them the experience they deserve for the story.
That's why I feel those two options should be allowed to let people get it for the experience and to help others, and then for the people who just want another daily rou to complete and can all cheese through if they want.

I said it before and i say it again.
Being forced to skip the cutscenes on my first run through completely ruined my experience.
Watching them at the inn later was a huge mess, with the disjointed timeline jumping all over the place.
I damn near rage quit the game over that mess.
And of course people didn't care at all that they ruined it for me.
Well, to them i say: Delete your account and watch the game on Youtube instead, that way you can't disrupt anybody elses experience.
What, you think that's unreasonable? That's basically the same argument you used on me taken to the next level, blowing a gasket when it gets turned around on you doesn't say good things about you, it's like the guy who punches another dude in the face and then throws a hissy fit when he get's punched back.
If i have to watch the story at the inn, you can watch the game on Youtube.
And this is why unskippable cutscenes was made a thing.

This is one of the reasons why I suggest that MSQ content has a solo instance that people can use to complete the content and watch all the cutscenes.
That way, people who are new to the content, can spend all the time in the world watching cutscenes with no pressure on them and no-one being upset that they have to wait for sprouty mcsprouterson while doing their roulettes.
While people who don't mind skipping the cutscenes and watching them later, can still queue up for the normal dungeon/trial to get the bonus exp/poetics it will provide (As well as an easy cheesy run through the content getting obliterated by level sync'd roulette farmers)

If you were reading a book you enjoyed and someone came along and forced you to skip over half the bloody thing and read the last chapter first while actively insulting you for daring to want to read it in order, how would you feel about it?
Or if you are watching a movie, and along comes some other guy who forces you to skip right to the end, so the only part you actually get to see is the last five minutes and the credits, and he openly calls you a bad person for wanting to see the rest of it?
And it was hardly "One Bad Dungeon"
It was multiple attempts at seeing the story as intended, getting prevented from doing so, leaving the instance, going in and trying again, same thing happening, people ranting at me and calling me names for not speed-running like the rest of them, getting kicked a couple of times, and all around bloody everyone being inconsiderate asshats.
To this day that section of the MSQ is a jumbled mess in my mind, and the people responsible have nothing but mockery in response to the damage they caused.
Seeing the post dungeon scenes first is A VERY VERY BAD THING.
Apply this same experience to thousands of other first timers and you have a huge reeking mess.
