Some assorted questions

Due to some physical problems I may need to start using a controller on my PC. So the first thing I want to ask is when you click the controller in the settings does it affect
the entire data base, just the world I'm playing on or just the character I'm playing at the time. Also if I go back to kb/m does it reset everything the way it was ?.

Next if I transfer a character from one Road to 60 world to another Road to 60 world will I keep my Road to 60 for that character ?. I tried asking support but my response
was to ask here.

Finally I started playing when FFXIV came out and I get a bunch of bonuses when I start a new character, 21 to be exact. Origonal fat Chocoboo, 150 free teleports, etc. they all come in the mail. If I upgrade to Stormblood collector's and get all the extras how will that affect my mail since we only get 20 emails ?.

P.S: I had to stop playing for a couple years due to personal problems.

Not too sure for the first 2 questions, pretty sure changing from kb/m to controller and vice-versa is saved to your computer like hotbars are but I could be wrong. Can't answer the 2nd question, I'm assuming you would keep it but I haven't actually heard about that issue before.

Regarding the mail, it'll give you 20 then once you've taken everything from them there should be a button towards the top of the mailbox UI you can click to request further deliveries and it should send the rest to you within about 5 min from my experience.

Hopefully someone can give more definitive answers to your first 2 questions.

Separate settings are there for kb/m and controller. Once you toggle controller, you'll have to change settings to your liking, and then once you toggle back, your settings for mouse and keyboard will come back as if nothing happened. It'll only be for whatever computer/console you're playing on.

I don't know why support would know less than the community, but I imagine there might be someone who knows.

Delete your mail after having taken the rewards, in order to receive the remainder of your mail. If you have more than 40, you'll have to do this at least twice.

Keyboard and controller are character settings so you change them only for your character. And them are separate afaik, if you switch mode you find them as you had set last time.

It makes sense. There really is a lot of information for any one person to retain, and the support you're speaking too might not be fully brushed up on the particular inquisition in hand. In this case, they are still trying to be helpful by pointing you in the right direction. Think of it like asking a local directions for a destination somewhere close by. The person being asked might not know exactly how to get there, but does know it's north and tells you to go in that direction and also tells you there's another gas station on the way.
