This is my first forum post. I am so annoyed by this issue that I have gone so far as to come to this foreign-to-me place and post about it. I really hope to get the attention of GM's, anybody who can make changes in the game based on community feedback.
Griefing in Feast is WAY more rampant than any of us fully understand.
Lately, and throughout my PvP career in general, but particularly lately, I've seen many people throw games by simply standing and doing nothing. Sometimes they're as bold as to emote /playdead. Sometimes they run around and tease-cast, and interrupt it to continue being useless. Apparently boosting is a thing that happens frequently too. And it doesn't stop. I see the same people playing and pulling the same antics I saw them doing weeks ago again and again. Is there no end? Are my countless GM calls and reports in vain?
Part of the problem is people don't report it enough when they see it. As always, there are those who do not feel the need to speak up, but it actively harms the community and the integrity of rankings in The Feast. People who throw commonly tend to be within the top 100 for their datacenter. I don't understand it, (though I suppose I never will) but it needs to be taken much more seriously if anything is going to change. Yes, we, as players need to report more when we see it. But also, Square and GM's need to take this more seriously. There are people I know me and others have reported previously who still pull the stuff they were reported for. I've even talked to GM's who acknowledge the issue, and then I still see these people (who have been reported multiple times!) doing the same thing! The punishment needs to be more severe! These players who are repeat offenders seriously have no business being ranked if they are going to act in such a way that harms everyone else! Is being removed from their ranked positions possible in the case of griefers? Not only as deterrence to those who would, but to prevent it from happening entirely? (Being unranked significantly decreases the amount of games they can get matched for, but also prevents them from receiving awards associated with such ranks.) For real, this needs to be taken more seriously!!!!
