When I talk to Guincum to begin "Into the Dark (Limsa Lominsa)", he says:

The prodigal recruit has returned, and, as always, your timing is impeccable. It just so happens that I have a new assignment that requires the services of a man of your fortitude and wit.

I was a bit offended since at this point I am a Corporal in our esteemed Company. I understand that this quest came out when there were only recruits, but only now did I become the proper level to begin it. So I suppose it's not a localization error since it is perhaps the same in the origin language, but it would be nice to not be called a recruit after advancing in the ranks so many times!

Probably just an oversight on their part. I think given their development pace, it's safe to assume that once a patch has been released, they don't look back unless they get a feedback directing them to fix something.
