    I liked Eureka

    Yeah, I said it.

I had fun and thought the items you got for the effort you put in were pretty good.
It also had much more social interaction than most areas of the game I've seen.

    Was it perfect? No.
    But what is?

I would have put Anemos last because I thought it was the best of the three.
Plus, I'm getting a little tired of snow covered areas.

But all in all, I thought Eureka was good.

    Come at me bro.

I thought it was terrible. I respect your opinion, I just think your opinion is not likely to be shared among the majority of players, or even a large enough portion of the players for it to in any way be considered objectively good content. I could be wrong, but I think I'm not. I'm glad you got enjoyment out of it, but I'd be even more glad and less disappointed if content was produced that I and most of the player base could have enjoyed as well.

I get your point, but I would ask what content that would be?
From what I've seen (anecdotal opinion inc.) most people don't raid, nor do they PvP.
Seems most people do MSQ and decorate their houses.

In my opinion it seems likely Blue Mage might just be a good start. It could wind up failing, a lot of people think it will, but the potential is there. I also feel Eureka as a concept was alright. I was looking forward to it, not putting much weight into people saying "it's going to be like Diadem all over again". The implementation was a failure, but it's not as if you can't implement a large zone with its own objectives without it being fun.

I think they have already one task they could be working on, which is PVP, which on release had been enjoyable, but, due to bots and changes to make it less rewarding, has died. I don't know if they can fix The Feast, but Astrologos is by far an easily fixable situation.

And... I've been waiting since 4.0 for Blitzball, which Yoshida repeatedly said he intended to make happen, and has avoided committing to it since.

I enjoyed Anemos. I barely endured Pagos and from what I've seen I'll be okay with Pyros. Eureka could definitely have been better but overall I had enough fun with it to consider it decent.

You could be right, but I think you're not.

Not sure what they were thinking with the Pagos spawn/xp/light rates.
    They were painful for sure.
But they made up for it in Pyros.

Eh. That's debatable. Pyros is by FAR superior to Pagos, which was a complete train wreck. That being said, the crystal drop rates are too low. They put so much emphasizes trying to get people to do bunnies that half the instances refuse to do anything else. Spawning NMs by yourself wouldn't be too terrible if you didn't need, what, 800 crystals when they only drop between 1-11 on average?

As a whole, I strongly dislike Eureka. But taken in individual parts with a goal in mind, I didn't mind Anemos and Pyros. Pagos, I started to enjoy for only one reason - the community. I think what it was is that the community made it tolerable in Pagos, and enjoyable in the others. Without the community...I'm not so sure I would have a positive opinion of the content. I am hoping that with the 4th instance, the devs have continued to build upon the goodwill that Pyros started to bring back.

I love Pagos and Pyros because they actually somewhat, slightly fulfil the vision of a classic MMO experience. There are problems for sure, but they’re a lot more like it than what Anemos turned out to be.

I disliked Anemos because “the train” meant it was a zone of mindlessly Zerg rushing bosses. I get that a lot of people enjoyed it, but that concept of “I know you’re level 2 but shield lob this boss twice and then run away and wait for XP” doesn’t really strike me as gameplay and I got zero entertainment value out of most of my NM experiences there. When I was grouping with players to grind though, it was a fine zone.

Other than that, my biggest complaint would be that I think they tuned the drop rates/requirements in Pagos a bit wrong. By the time I finished a weapon I had a full 7 extra light. The rate of Pagos crystals from bosses was just really low compared to needing 500 of them. Maybe it balanced out if you never did anything else that generated light.
