I get some people like the non-stop zerg-style leveling. Personally to me, it isn't healthy to depend/demand my progress on other people's speed/aptitude. It's not a matter of preference, it's a restriction. The main issue to me here is more and more baseline features of this game: quests, relic (job gear progression), and now a public dungeon, are hidden behind that unhealthy restriction which ultimately is unnecessary no matter how far/high the devs set its progress/limit. There are fewer people who actually care/know about its mechanics than the random people in regular leveling dungeon, this much is enough to scrap that restriction. All I want is for this game to be the game again, put contents on it, not put them inside another game and call/hype that game as content when its parent need them as much.

Hopefully Absolute Virtue destroys players in that public dungeon like it once did in XI. Would be great if its harder then even ultimate fights.
So basically you pussied out during Pagos and now that something new and shiny is coming for those of us that continued to stick it out, you're jealous and want what you can't have? 4.55 is still 3 months away, more than enough time for you to catch up.
It isn't about the decision to put a public dungeon in side content at all, it's literally just "I want something that I can't have".
How do you even know it's going to be good? Everything they've said hints towards them being something akin to savage 24 man raids. They'll be a shit show before they even begin, look at Diadem Emergency Missions for reference.
You talk about Captain Obvious, yet you're seemingly surprised that after "3 iterations of bad content" that they've taken feedback on board and added something of actual value. Guess what, it happens. They improved on Pagos with additions to Pyros, they're doing the same thing again with Hydatos and the public dungeon. Funny how feedback and content updates go hand in hand right?
Yes I guess we need to keep that feedback rolling then, right ? Oh wait that's exactly what this topic is about.
I don't, but who knows, I guess a miracle is always possible. How do you even know it's going to be good?
I think you misunderstand the point of the public dungeon, if this is what I think it is the whole point is to be like a vanilla FFXI raid. Unless of course we get some watered down version of it like eureka is and yoshida's PR is only hype designed to make people run pagos, pyros and anemos.Everything they've said hints towards them being something akin to savage 24 man raids.

Considering what was said in the interview, people that hate Eureka shouldn't bother even going near it.
It feels like everything annoying about Eureka in one. It's balanced on Logos Actions (You have to make these every time you zone in if you used them in the last zone since they are consumable) and a repeatable attunement/entry requirement which means every time you wipe out you have to attune again.
So basically EM (from Diadem 2) 2.0 with more time sinks.
I don't think I ever got to do the first EM, map was either dead when it spawned or it never spawned.

So essentially you just don't want to grind. Welcome to JRPGs and MMOs.

You don't need to use logo's in Pyros other than to make them once so that you can have 30/50 for the weapon and 50/50 to unlock relic armor. For those who want to use logo's they do need to make them upon entry for use during that session but those are a bonus to playing there and aren't needed to progress. I have no clue what you mean by a repeatable attunement entry. If you're talking about the aethers they are attuned to once when you reach the appropriate levels of 37, 39 and 41.
Sorry you didn't enjoy Eureka but there are many who do. The instanced dungeon should be interesting and many of us are looking forward to it.

They said you need the "right," which means there is an attunement or entry requirement. An "attunement" in MMO context means there is a requirement to get in. So an example would be needing to clear normals to get into savage. Not a really hard one but you get the idea. You don't just stroll up to the entrance and go in, no. Every time you die you have to get it again. So anyone who hates deleveling or values their time will most likely hate it. Unless the interview is translated wrong.
And I don't actually hate Eureka, I'm just saying if you hate Eureka you aren't going to like how this is designed based on what they said. Way to assume.4gamer: Why did you suddenly become silent there? (laughs) I hope someone can raise me when i'm kicked out. So it comes down to, a wipe = gameover?
Yoshida: Yes, you will need to gain the "right" again before you try again. It's clearly not somewhere casual players would want to go. I'm sure there are players who are fine with taking time to take it down and slowly progressing, but __it's a raid and you have a high chance of receiving a death penalty. Which makes players really anxious, so i really advise players not to force themselves to do it.
Since they balanced this around logos, you need them to make the fight easier, and since they are consumable, you will have to craft them many times so it's sort of like potions in actual raids.
I mean if you're dying constantly, and they make it easier, you're probably going to be making them a bunch of times is what I mean. Do you "NEED" them on everyone to beat it? Maybe not. But some of the people in there having them will sure make it easier according to this.4gamer: If the amount of players who can enter is limited, it seems like Logos actions will become important.
Yoshida: You'll probably need to hold onto/carry a ton of logos actions to clear the dungeon. The type of logos actions you have will change the difficulty of the fight. If you're serious about beating the dungeon, you might need to choose the right ones.
We won't know until it releases, but it sure sounds like people that hate Eureka in the first place, won't like this at all anyway.
