    Any healers here wish the BLU fight stance was the WHM fight stance? Oh and...

    … moving forward with reducing skill bloat in 5.0, do we just go ahead and eliminate Fluid Aura along with Repose?

    I love what I've seen from BLU as far as their animations and battle stance, and I really wish the way they hold their weapon with the other arm out is how WHM does things. I can't help but be a little jelly. I know WHM was designed with wand and shield in mind for their stance, but I think it might be time for an update.



    As for FA. I don't use it at all. How about the rest of you?

    They need to buff these spells to make them marginally useful... Increase the knockback and put a slow debuff on FA, and making Reposte instant cast and OGCD would probably make them more useful.

    Repose has a use, the Dragons in Eureka! I agree on stance as WHM hasn't had any wand/shields since the ARR days. They are pure staff/cane now. This actually means now two jobs that use canes too! Be careful crafting so as not to make the cnj/WHM for your BLU.

    It was stated that Blue Mages aren't getting many weapons, if any at all, since they scale more off of armour.

    As for Fluid Aura, it's useless outside of any content that matters. Everything is immune to the knockback and it does do damage, so it should be removed. Same with Repose, one or two instances in the entire game where it happens to have an extremely niche use does not warrant it still existing.

    I'm in favor of having them upgrade over leveling like other skills. As per a different thread in this forum --
    Fluid Aura 2: The ability loses the knockback and gains the AoE effects Bind and targets have increased vulnerability to wind and water-aspected damage

    Repose 2: The ability is now instant cast and can affect multiple targets
    Maybe Repose 2 could add a slow for a bit after the targets wake up as well. These upgrades plus the Holy stun give WHM a nice angle for crowd control.

    FA2 doesn't have to replace FA for those who still like the knock-back, it could just be an extra thing. Either way works for me.

    (Also, I've been hoping WHM might get an option allowing for the return of the little wooden shield for a while now.)

    I'm actually in the boat that WHM could do with making Fluid Aura an instant cast GCD that deals a set potency that doesn't cost MP. It was an instant cast oGCD back in ARR/HW, but that was back when WHM didn't have so many oGCD abilities like they have now. As for Repose...well, what you suggest is simply make it the Sleep equivalent.

    In general, I think WHM getting a stance change wouldn't be bad with wielding its weapon. I'm not sure what the other arm is supposed to do anyway... Perhaps make it so they're actually wielding the cane with two hands?

    Wasn't sure if SE would want to give WHM another damage ability, but I figured maybe a debuff? For Repose, lots of options but just stuck with the cc theme. I did use it as-is a few weeks ago when I was stuck getting to the teleporter in the MSQ roulette

    Horrible! :O

    I love the WHM stance, it's the old classic mage stance wich people like Gandalf use. The other hand by the way is actually used to cast the magic, especially when you look at the old animation from the ARR skills like Cure.
