Story skip Stormblood?

I've tried scouring the web for details but I've turned up nothing so far..

Was wondering if there was any information or Q and A's from Square on when the story/level skip for Stormblood would become available for purchase?

I don't suppose it would be right at the start of Shadowbringers...then again, it might be an opportunity to get people interested in the new expansion up to speed just before release.

Likely such a thing might show after SB has ended. Though there has been no information about it at all. Well we've got plenty of Live Letters and Fan Fests between now and summer. Certainly one of them will give a hint or two.

Story skip HW was available from the beginning of SB and I assume SB will be made available at the beginning of ShB. They want to make sure anybody interested in jumping straight into the new content can do so, they're more likely to get initial sales when it first releases that way, versus people saying "well, I can't do it now so why would I buy the content?"

I honestly have never supported it i still hate it them that use a skip are a burden on everyone as thay normally don't know anything about the msq or there jobs or how dutys and line up works

Honestly this makes zero sense to me. I used the story skip for ARR and HW and there wasn't a single duty where is was not prepared for because I did not go through the MSQ. In fact now that I am doing SB I know for sure that not a single quest actually prepares you for the grouped content that it unlocks. Gathering 4x dung in The Heart of Nations does in no way contribute to me completing the next dungeon; Bardam's Mettle.

Personally I would prefer a system where grouped content and zones are not locked behind the MSQ. This leaves more freedom for the player and would take away the need for the story skip entirely. It also allows for more variation during job leveling. Right now you MUST do MSQ on your main job in other to access content. This also means that content is locked for all other jobs on that same character since you can only do it once.

TLDR no; the MSQ in general does not prepare or assist the player in anyways in grouped content to come. It would best be described as a form of online hazing, something you have to suffer through because other people also had to suffer through it in the past.

For people like my friend who i just recently got into the game, they don't care about the story at all- he just wants to play the game with me.
He's a veteran MMO player and has figured out how to heal very quickly, and plays well. not everyone who buys the skips is going to be a burden. My friend would never have gotten through the dreg that is 2.0 patch content, when he is skipping all cutscenes anyway.
I watch the story, but not everyone cares about it. And that's fine.

I have the opposite opinion. It's annoying to be able to go to a dungeon/raid and have story in it that you have not experienced going in like in WoW. In fact, it's annoying the way WoW does storyline quests that can be skipped, even entire expansion's worth, just by leveling to the appropriate level.
