Unable to enter Recruitment Code

Hi, I am asking for help on behalf of my friend who's a new player.

She just bought the game and got gifted a game time card by another friend; so long story short - she registered BOTH the game and game time card BEFORE entering the recruitment code.
Now there's no longer any option for her to enter the recruitment code - I assume because she registered that game time card.

Could anyone help rectify the situation by letting her enter the recruitment code somehow? She is using a fresh new account and this happened an hour ago.

Unfortunately it's now too late. The recruitment code has to be entered before any game time is purchased. By adding the game time it's negated the ability to add a recruitment code.

The recruitment code cannot be entered after a subscription has been established. Please be sure that the recruitment code is entered before then.

You could try contacting SE support to see if they'll add it since she's still in the first 30 days, but I wouldn't get your hopes up as the FAQ page also specifically says it won't work.

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forum.

Unfortunately once a subscription has been added, the recruitment code can no longer be used. The code would have needed to be entered before the subscription was purchased.

As this issues is not a tech issues, I will be moving this thread to " General Discussion". Any feedback given will be forwarded.
